just a quick survey to see how many f/chatters prefer minichamp f1 cars
against hotwheels f1 cars, i myself would like minichamps to get back rights to produce
ferarri f1 cars, hotwheels are more like toys than collectors items.

    MINICHAMPS for sure...

Come on Ferrari, do your brand image a favour and ditch the company that is damaging your brand name!

hotwheels is just a pile of ______ (you name it...)

I would stick with Hot Wheels Elite line or Super Elite for 1:18.
Mini champs stuff is to hard to find in WA state.

I like to mod my models so tearing apart a nice model like minichamps/ or UT, i'd rather not.

There is not much "SUPER" in the "Super elite" models. In my opinion they are just a rip off that HW came up with and totally not worth the money.

I think they need a lil more detail yeah, but you know a 1:18 mini champs is giong to be harder for everyone to find, and more money.
Thats why I think like that.

minichamps are much easier to find in europe,
i was at the european grand prix and i picked up the 1997 f310b
in perfect conditon, posted photos of it and you can see the difference in the qualityand it was cheaper than a new hotwheels f1 car
i was going to buy the schumacher brazilan and monza, but when i seen what they looked like and the price
i said no,overpriced toys,i am schumacher fan but i think hotwheels should look at what they are turning out
and have a rethink on their quality.

there seems to be a divided opinion on the better qualityof minichamps/hotwheels
i will post some more photos of my minichamp cars
and some hotwheels collectors ltd editions of the f1 cars
and i still think minichamps are better.

I personally don't need pics but thank you. I have other MC cars and I just think Hot Wheels makes better detailed 1:18 scale cars..

We both could post pics of cars tell we are blue in the face, and still hold the same personal opinion.

Since I switched to 1/43 scale I would say: IXO :)

Seriously Minichamps is better than Mattel, but then again I don't really care that much who produces a model as long as there is a model. There are so many F1 cars not released as a model, that one would think the pie is big enough to be shared.

MiniChamps are really super, but I'm not sure if they are doing the newer Ferraris, Mattel is great value for the money and they really look good in the larger sizes

I have 15+ Minichamps 1/18 models and 1 Hot Wheels limited edition one (Kimi). The Minichamps are more accurate and just look better imo.

i own several minichamps, but no hotwheels. the minichamps are much better. although i think hotwheels have gotten better over time. still, my first choice is minichamps. their 1/43 models are also pretty darn good.

Wow, it's absolutely stunning to hear Hotwheels is better than Minichamps?!? Not even if you compare them to a 10 years old Minichamps! Really sad that we have to live with such stuff.

Yeah, Hotwheels might have good availability in your area but this doesn't mean it's well worth the money. Hotwheels is of poor quality, if it isn't the Ferrari and Schumacher name, I bet they'll sell even one piece of those.

Sometimes, I feel so desperate to be a tifosi. I can't afford a real Ferrari already, but can't even buy a model that is of good quality with a reasonable price!

I never said they were better, I said its what I like, and Hot Wheels does make other nice diecast that I do think is better than MC's diecast (I'm talking about 1:18 not smaller)

    example..
