    DEAR FRIENDS, CLIENTS AND SUBSCRIBERS
Effective 08 May of this year Colleen Sheehan, my daughter, and I have unfortunately parted ways.

In the last week Colleen has sent out misleading e-mails to friends, clients and the Ferraris Online subscriber lists. As of Monday, 27 May, I re-gained control of the Ferraris Online database, subscriber and e-mail list.

As always, Ferraris Online (and it’s predecessors) has been solely owned by Mike Sheehan since 1972, and Ferraris Online has NOT changed its e-mail address, its website and/or subscriber list. This unfortunate situation was a great disappointment to me as it was probably a surprise to our friends, clients and fellow dealers and brokers.

To be clear, Colleen does not have the authority to use or share in my contact and business lists and I would request you all remove the erroneous and improper "new contact information" from your files.

Please be clear on this, Ferraris Online continues its 52 year record in the collector car sales industry. My e-mail remains as [email protected] and my cell is 714 403 4078. If there are questions, you are invited to email or call me. I am not in any way associated with Next Generation Classics or its ilk. Travel there at your own risk....

If you subscribed to our e-mailing list any time this year and get a copy of this e-mail, please click on https://ferraris-online.com/subscribe and re-subscribe to get all of our future inventory updates and my continuing columns. It’s free to subscribe (or re-subscribe).

Over the last forty years I’ve written columns for Prancing Horse, the Ferrari Market Letter, Cavallino, Sports Car Market and Forza magazines. I will continue writing Ferrari-focused columns for various Ferrari-focused magazines and for our subscribers.

If you want advise or feedback on buying, selling, market values, market changes, service or restoration work or feedback on the history of a Ferrari, drop me an e-mail at [email protected] or give me a call on my cell at 714 403 4078. There is no charge.

    My regards.

    Mike Sheehan

Unfortunate. Always thought it was pretty cool Colleen was in the business with her father, figured it was obvious she would take over the reins someday. Guess not.

I got the one from his daughter too, about a week ago. My first thought was that maybe he’d turned the business over to her…..but it occurred to me that if that were the case the message would have mentioned it, or that she and Mike would have sent it together. So I waited for the other shoe to drop.

Yuck. Family fights are the worst, especially when it becomes a public spectacle. Nothing good will come of this for anyone...

It appears FChat Vintage section continues to devolve into bullhorn-of-all-things-someone-else’s-family-or personal-drama topics.

I thought the same initially when I received that email from Colleen with a different business name. On the heels of a separate youtube channel created, "Next Generation Classics". My assumption was they'd be under one roof but the more historic, race-based Ferrari would remain Mike's domain and Colleen would focus on more modern era ones. Evidently not the case as Mike's email didn't sound like an amicable split, which is a shame .

Having a daughter this breaks my heart. I've spoken with Colleen a few times business stuff.

Colleen had got some good traction going with their YouTube channel and social, many videos going over 100k views, which is hard to do in the automotive space. She slowed down posts about 8 months ago and there hadn't been one in 4 months. She must still be in control of the channel because it is promoting their new channel.

I think there is a boyfriend or husband in the picture for Colleen? Honestly that worries me more than anything with Mia, when an outsider gets involved. My plans are to leave nothing ambiguous or word of mouth. If you want to help with FerrariChat, there will be a contract and equity conversion will be defined. If you want to start a restaurant, then there will be a contract and equity agreement. You should of course give them the family deal, but it still needs to be well defined and protected.

After the first couple videos 4 months ago on the new channel, they haven't done well and no new posts for 2 months.

I went back and couldn't find Colleen's email, I always get Mike's though. I just bring it up because maybe Colleen's email list wasn't exactly Ferrari Online's, just some overlap. Who got Colleen's email? I would like to read it.

Oh I don't know. To me no more or less drama in the Ferrari world as there has been in the last 40+ years of my experience. Its always been full of questionable characters on the verge of making a headline. SNAFU I'd say. These waters have always been Gator infested.

urgh, that can be problematic. you can't notify the contacts of your old employer your new contact. I also think this message crosses the line sounding like for all Ferraris Online business please now contact Next Gen.

For a father and daughter no matter what happens on the business side, I hope they can keep that separate.

is it just someone else's business? I think relevant in case we were considering doing business with Next Gen or not.

Taking the client list and misrepresenting the reason is definitely poor form if not illegal. It also appears photos of cars listed/sold on Mike’s site are now being used on Colleen’s as “sold”. Then there’s the video content and branding. No bueno. I don’t know why but I can’t help but thinking it has more to do with the new husband than anything…

I got this message last night as well. I have spoken with both Coleen and Mike. It always seemed like a good relationship. As mentioned in this thread, it might have more to do with the new husband.

I’ve been around these “Gator infested” (vintage car) waters 4+ decades, but just wish some of those bored-out-of-their-mind “Gators” would have enough intelligent not to pollute sections like this one, supposedly dedicated to topics directly related to “Vintage Ferraris” , with their living-vicariously-through-drama-of-others du sour.

I would think there being forums or (subscription ?) sections here better suited for such nonsense, but I guess that’s what Ferrari Lifestyle has become. It permeates everywhere.

I sure hope my life never becomes that boring.

Its about vintage Ferraris. The people selling them are a very big part of that topic.
