I heard about this over the weekend, I was pretty surprised. I've been stopping by Nelson since high school to oogle the cars. Is MAG going to expand to hold all of the inventory that Nelson had?

Are you familiar with MAG? They are HUGE! I don't think they'd have any problem folding in all of Nelson's inventory. Whether they think that's the right business decision, especially now, might be the real question. But, if they think there's money to be made being "the nation's largest Lamborghini dealer", as Nelson claimed, they certainly have the ability to do that.

I lived in Columbus for 10 years, I have definitely been to MAG. It just seemed like they had so many brands they carried that they only had a few of each on the showroom floor. The last time I was at Nelson they had almost 20 Lambos among other used cars in the back. I don't recall MAG's main building being big enough to hold 20 extra cars but it's been a while so I suppose I could be wrong.

Harvey left lambo ohio 6months to a year ago. He has been at MAG well before the downfall of Lambo Ohio. Mag purchased only 3 cars out of Lambo Ohios inventory, the two LP560s and the one white LP640 roadster. The rest of the cars are sitting in the Nelson Dodge dealership. Its dissapointing because even with MAG's size, they will just make it a little boutique dealer probably only keeping a few cars in stock unlike Nelson holding 20-30 like they always did. Not to mention Nelson's was a very friendly dealer and welcomed everyone whereas MAG it can go either way whether they will run you out of the showroom or size you up and think you are ok to talk to. This is a deal that has been in the works for a long time.

I have been a long time customer of Nelson Lamborghini, and as i have posted in past threads they have ALWAS been top notch. I have had just about every dealing possible with these guys, from sales, to parts, and probably the most dealing in the service dept. I have had several dealings with Greg as well and he is just an incredible guy all the way around. It really is sad to see them sell. I never have heard of the new owner. I would really appreciate any input on whether it is worth using these guys for service. If Parker Moffett the head tech at Nelson is still going to be the Lambo head tech that would be a great thing.

Parker moved to MAG as part of the deal so he will still be the Lambo tech. However, they did not take Eric, which I view as a mistake. I hear he is on to bigger and better things, however. It will be interesting to see the new dealership come to life and hear some customer feedback when someone buys from them. A lot of people I know are hesistant to deal with MAG for whatever reason.

I agree....I stop by both whenever I am in Columbus 5-6 times a year. MAG doesn't have much stock of exotics, before I bought my used Aston, the salesman explained they only get 1 or 2 used DB's a year, they will only keep a couple Ferrari's Aston's Bentley's, etc, as they don't have enough indoor space for a lot of everything....Too bad Greg sold out, he had a class operation in Marysville

MAG has always had a "I'm better then you" attitude that left a bad taste in most peoples mouth. I met one salesman on the exotic side who was actually a really good guy and would shoot the **** with him anytime I stopped in. Hell he even let me take a lotus elise out around the block just to see what it drove like. Other then him though, the rest of the dealership has the attitude of having a silver spoon up their ass. A concept I could never understand seeing that they are SELLING the cars, and not actually the ones buying them....Its just disappointing to see a showroom like Nelsons get boiled down to a 3 car showroom like MAG is going to have. No longer can you walk in and marvel at all the cars. You more or less have to hope they will actually have some in stock....

I was talking to Greg a few months back on the sale of the dealership. I would have loved to pick it up, but the auto business is not something that I wanted or probably could play in well with the market the way it is and may be for a long time.

I have bought a few P cars from MAG in the past - with Parker there that will help.

I am sorry to see it depart from Marysville (which is closer to me), but times be that - tough all around.

I haven't heard anything on Gregs other dealerships - with Chysler and GM closing some down, don't know what the status there is. I know he did move many Vipers over the years from his dodge dealership in Marysville.

I wish Greg and the guys all the best going forward - best bunch of guys....
