I wish Mick was driving under an alias. Too many people putting too much expectation on his shoulders. When I raced in the Pirelli Ferrari series there was a canny high profile celebrity driver who donned an alias. It worked well and removed all the negative crap that armchair experts would have otherwise thrown at him.
After the first F2 race weekend, the results for Mick Schumacher and team mate Robert Schwartzman is this: First race: Schwartzman 3rd, Schumacher 11th. Second race: Schwartzman 4th, Schumacher 7th. Schwartzman 23 points, Schumacher 2 points.
I said a long time ago here: up to now Mick is as good as Stroll. Too much hype. Unfortunately the politics will put him on Alfa Romeo next year.
Maybe......Albon is somewhat handicapped. Max has a new front wing while Albon has an old one during Qualifying and going into the race.
Alfa boss was very quick to pour the cold water on Mick recently. Stated Mick needed to concentrate on F2. This does not sound like automatic promotion to Alfa at all. I dont see MS quality in Mick yet.
Yet I read that some people here think he should be promoted to Alfa Romeo ASAP, and join the Scuderia soon after!!
We'll never see that again anywhere. Michael was on another level in his prime. Crap car ? No worries.
A friend of mine just sent me a comment and I had to share. Sorry if it doesn't sound funny in English: "Shwartzman is putting a Russian nuclear submarine in Schumacher's ass"
Yep...armchair racing experts....guy that have never raced let alone never even learned how to run a car around a track at a track day...they have no idea.
