And nope I haven't done Castle Rock or Pictured Rocks.

    I'll check out D119 - I'll be in a motorhome.

Captain Kieth does a nice family friendly job of putting you on big fish. You might try this for 1/2 day.

It's M-119 out of Harbor Springs.. narrow road once you get past Birchwood Farms all the way up to Cross Village. Very entertaining to drive with the right car-a motorhome will be an interesting adventure with some of the tight turns-but definitely worth taking. Don't drive it on a Sunday-too many motorcycle packs and bicyclists on the road.

Yes sir, several trips. I've booked him for both office staff team building trips (when working in Grand Rapids) and personal outings.

Depending on when you're up in Northern Mich, you can check out the Bay Harbor Concours (end of June as I recall) outside of Petoskey, which usually has some pretty spectacular cars.

If your August travel schedule permits you may want to stop in the Detroit Metro area and experience the Dream Cruise and/or the Concourse of the Americas. The Concourse is in Plymouth, which is right off I-275 and the Dream Cruise is relatively close to I-75.

in St. Ignace, MI. Another good time focusing on cars and whatever else may show up.
I've been there the past two shows. Nothing like a Michigan summer.

Personally, I believe Keweenaw County is Michigan's most beautiful. Very historical as well. Copper Harbor, Ft. Wilkens, Brockway Mountain Drive, Eagle River/Harbor, Estivant Pines, Manganese River falls, Lake Medora, Delaware Mine tour, Mt. Bohemia, Bete Grise lighthouse, Lac La Belle, and of course the Gay Bar in Gay, MI. Motor home friendly.

Just returned from a six day "driving vacation" throughout the U.P. Ran ~ 1,300 miles, never left Michigan. Saw the Porcupine Mountain Wilderness Area, Lake of the Clouds, Keweenaw, Escanaba, Agate Falls, Lake Gogebic, Ontonagon, Hancock/Houghton, Manistique, Munising, Seney Stretch, Sault Ste Marie, St. Ignace, yep almost hit 'em all!

I'll definitely put Keweenaw on our route.

What was your favorite place on your 1300 trip?

my favorite place was any bar with chilly fresh draft beer.

No shortage of that in the U P I am pleased to report!

True relaxation is living life without regard to time.

    But, yea, Keweenaw County.

On your way up and back, check out the various native Indian casinos for reasonable hotel rates/rooms, plentiful food, casino packages, and R V park hookups w/all services.

    Best to you.

I didn't read any posts about Bond Falls on rt45 between Watersmeet and Bruces' Crossing at a bump in the road called Paulding. Without question the best of the falls in the UP.

Almost forgot about those falls; but I still think I prefer Laughing Whitefish, and the lower Tahquamenon falls.

Keep an eye out for the Palding Lights!

I believe what you speak of is the "Paulding Light" which is near the bump in the road called Paulding between Watersmeet and Bruces' Crossing. There is a legend connected with a RR wreck. If you are interested PM me and I will relate the story. Lost
