Michelin TRX 220/55 VR 390 w/ decent tread

That's the way to go.

 

I have a couple of TRX 240/55 VR 390's, but not the 220's.

 

The 240 tires are still on the Mondial TRX rims. I was going to get the tires removed and take the rims down to the scrap yard, but if you want rim too, that would be OK. Either way, the 240's should fit the 308 TRX rims. The rubber tread will just stick out to the sides 1 cm further than the 220's, like the 255's do on my replacement rear rims. The rear wheel well has a lot of space in it, which will accomodate a much wider tire.

I've been recovering my hard drive from a nasty trojan horse virus, so I haven't been online the last week or so.

 

Correction, I have ONE TRX 390/240 tire in excellent shape, the tire that was in the spare tire boot. It still has some of the flashing from the molding process on the tread in spots, and it looks like a brand new tire. The others were unfortunately stored out doors in the sun and weather and are unfit for use.

Is there anyone out there with another single TRX 240 tire they're not using? We could pair up and sell them as a set. I've had two offers so far.

 

Have you got available a 240/55-390 VRr Michelin TRX?

 

Would these give me problems if I mounted on a Mondial 8? I know the pattern is 240/55 VR390.. Anyone know if this would work?

Different wheel size I believe 220 are 160 whereas 240 are on 180 - also how old are these tires ?
