    in the beginning of the movie when crockett and tubbs are chasing down the guy in the bentley continental, everytime he puts in the throttle, blue flames are present from the exhaust tips...my question is simple:

    in race mode, on a stock f430, is this possible? or was this car modified to remove the cats to do that?

    If you have flames coming out of the exhaust you have unburned fuel being ignited at the exhaust - not a great situation to have on a very expensive car!

    Stock exhaust on F430 will do that.. though Tubi won´t.

    on a stock f430, the blue flames will come out for a second (usually high rpm or during downshift) in Sport mode (sometimes) and in Race mode. For the constant blue flame like in the movie, cats need to be removed and possibly further modifications, but you'd probably burn off your bumper...

    I was on a 5am run awhile back and there was a stock F430 coupe and the flames were coming out for 5-6 seconds at a time. Just drive your car hard!! You won't be able to see the flames but others will :)

    In the movie, I'm pretty sure, for the shot you have seen the cats were gone. Anyway it looks sweet and the sound is nicer. But there are laws you have to think about the hell with cats.

    I would not be so worried about the sound it will make without cats. The lost of warranty should keep you from doing it.
