They are just hitting our shores. I know of one on order that was just completed at the factory last week and is on its way here. I believe it will be in the US in Dec or Jan. I can get more info if needed.

Not a fan of sls. Neighbor has a regular sls in silver along with a new sl550. The 550 looks better and has convt top and normal doors too. I know bs is different but for that price why go this route over ferrari 458 or f12?

Btw, recently saw old sl65 black series and that looks amazing.

the only problem i have with the sls is the way it drives.
it rides very rough on public roads.
i believe it was designed as a track vehicle.

There's a silver SLS Black Series here in Raleigh. The owner brought it to Cars & Coffee a few months back and it still had a 30 day plate on it. He also owns a red SL65 Black Series.

Is it correct that the Black Series has a limited production run?

Is that factory or a body kit? I think they ruined the lines.

I think that looks brilliant. Evokes images of the GT3 race car.

Looks great. I hate it painted in yellow though.

Give me black, white, grey, or silver please!

if it is improved over the standard sls coupe, I am sure it is a fabulous machine. with superlatives is the only way to describe the standard sls...what a great car!!!!!

I'm not so sure about the body kit either, but the sound of the black series is
    sensational.

I have to disagree. I usually hate add on bits and pieces on a car. For instance, the wing on a Countach is terrible in my eyes. Having spent a bit of time around the regular SLS and now the SLS AMG Black in person I have to say it is amazing. This bits and pieces all work well together to make the car look much, much more aggressive but not boy racer-ish.

I always thought the SLS, and much more so the black series, sounds a bit... vulgar. Not refined enough for the kind of car it is. Like Luciano Pavarotti stepping on the stage and letting out a loud and thundering burp.

Picked up CLK Black in 2008, SL 65 Black in 2009 and my Matte Gray SLS Black October 2 of this year. It is a limited production. 110 total is my understanding and this year will see the end of the SLS line.Guessing there might be 100 times more 458's by the end that SLS Black Series. Loved my 458 and situationally it may perform better. I opted for the very rare brutish Black Series.

The Countach is SUPPOSED to look outlandish... (I don't like the wing, either).

But almost randomly sticking chunks of plastic here and there on a Mercedes makes it worse, not better, at least in this case.

It's probably not as bad in black... sort of hides the chunks.

    Just my opinion.
