Park Place announced earlier this week that they are opening a Mercedes-Benz dealer in Fort Worth (somewhere along Bryant Irvin Road). It is scheduled to open in October 2005. At the same time, they are still currently building a new facility (Mercedes-Benz & Porsche) in Dallas off of Lemmon Ave. just East of Mockingbird Lane.

I thought it was going to be off of loop 820 near benbrook & 377? Tarrant county has been without MB dealer since Beck on Alta Mere left back in the mid 90's. Thats good to know but very long overdue.

Yes, Park Place is planning on opening a new Mercedes-Benz store in Ft. Worth. It is supposed to be beside or near Sewell Lexus off of Bryant Irving Rd. I have not been by there personally, but that is the rumor flying around Park Place (I am an employee at the Dallas store). We also have a location right across from Baillargon Audi and Grubbs Infiniti on Hwy. 183. Our new Dallas store is scheduled to be completed by July 2005. Hope this helps :)

Not aware of one at present. We went looking for a Fort Worth MB dealership about a year ago when we were first in the market for one, all to no avail. This is good news although we are happy with our dealer in Waco, which is a bit closer.

That was the old Beck location but thats not Ft. Worth to me, that the HEB area. A bit far for most MB customers to drive, there's a lot of them in Old/New Westover Hills, TCU, Hulen, Arlington Hieghts, etc. It will give their upcoming service department a world of business.

Wasn't there an MB dealer in Fort Worth called "Oberklasse"?? Can anyone confirm??

BTW...Flower Mound/Lantana/Highland Village is in need of a BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz. That area is going heavily & the household incomes are amongst the highest in the metroplex & the closest service they get is either in Dallas or Grapevine.

I think there are *plenty* of MB customers in the HEB/Colleyville area, but I agree that it's a hike for some of the other target demographic areas, even if it is techinically tarrant county.

Yes, but that's in Euless, I think. I met Chet (sales mgr at ex-FoD) there for the first time, too.

That is a repair center near downtown Ft Worth, they do very good work. My ex used to have her BMW service performed by them.

I did work at Park Place Mid-Cities before moving to FoD. That store does draw the majority of its business from Southlake, Colleyvile, etc., but also drew a good deal of business from the Ft.Worth neighborhoods as well. Service convenience was the biggest issue for clients on the west side, so I think the new store will be able to do well in that location. I know the person who will be the GM at the new store, and he'll make it work well.

One of my mechanics told me about this a month ago. I thought he might have been making it up. He is named Mikey too. Anyway, should be a good location and yes the area has been needing a MB for a while. They should do a lot of Mira Vista business.

Having examined demographics of Tarrant County, it would be likely more M-B automobiles are sold to residents of NE Tarrant rather than Ft. Worth.

As an aside, as recently as a couple of years ago, north Arlington and HEB 183 commercial property was bringing more per square foot than downtown Ft. Worth.
