She is beautiful. I am not so familiar with US Verison of the R107 but the headlights seem different to the Euro versions (twin round lights versus single rectangular light). I always have been a fan of these as they seem so solid and well built.
Wow!! That's all I have. Wow!!! Time capsule right down to the first aid kit. I hope you get every penny, she's a beauty. D
Thanks very much guys. These are such great cars to drive but the low miles on this one is actually why I am selling it since I also have an 88 with about 112k miles that is a driver. I wasn't in the market for one but couldn't pass on this car when I heard it was for sale a few years ago but I also feel guilty driving it and adding miles which is unfortunate since EVERYTHING works perfectly on this car. Previous owner spent almost $3,200 having the AC converted as well and indicated in the receipts. Awesome car, GLWS! Whats great about these cars, is that at 100k, they look the same as a 20k car if maintained and cared for. They are so well built and defy the aging process.
Pm me about cosworth, not really for sale but I am getting a lot of requests about it. It's a 62k mile, never left California, I bought it from second long time owner a few years back. It is also in almost perfect condition and why I'm hesitant to part with it, I don't think I'll find another like it. Really a fun car to drive and the only fun car I have that I can fit my four boys in with me and have a safe but spirited canyon drive. You're having fun in that car without having to go very fast. You be surprised how much fun 187 bhp can be when built and packaged correctly. I still think they are very underappreciated cars and I remember how much I wanted one as a kid, definitely not a letdown.
for comparison only, there's a similar condition car on bring a trailer right now. 12K-Mile 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL | Bring a Trailer Not quite as handsome as this car, but a good comp. D
I had a 1986 SL. Drove it for almost 200,000 miles and the only thing I replaced was the canvas roof--I opened and closed it so much I wore it out. Fantastic car. Big bloc 350 V8 engine. If I recall it had about 227 HP.
