MV Agusta? How did he get that thing registered in Canada? I would love to have an MV, but thought it was impossible to register in Canada.
You must know people in the right places. The MV in the picture is not registered in Ontario. Although I know 2 people in the GTA that have managed to get Ontario plates for them. It's very difficult and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There is a chance that Canada Customs may seize it. (It has happened). Hint: You can fiddle with the 'Custom Motorcycle' registration.
I have a friend who has a small but pretty impressive collection of Italian bikes and that includes MV's. Apparently one way is for them to come across the border in parts. He and his sons ride, buy and sell them as a hobby. Not sure what he has at the momment.
I understand. These bikes are now registered and licensed. I was NOT talking about smuggligng... The MV's he has/had are uber-rare 1 of 2 kinda deals.
Importing them as 'parts' is sort of like smuggling. You can do the same with guns. The owner of Azores Motor Sales (College st.) has a Ducati Ben Bostrom and a Bimota in the front Window. Those are pretty rare bikes too ! I laugh everytime I drive by there.....I can't believe no one has bought them yet.
