Rick, How was the other Cars and Coffee that you were going to? I am not sure what time you were going but I didn't see any 360s at Park Meadows so I figured you must have met up with at least some people at the other one.
The SO/GI/Whatever has gotten later and later every year with people showing up throughout the morning. The nice thing is that there is no pressure to leave the parking lot at any time, so it really is Coffee & cars, BYOC I might be around this upcoming Sat if the weather is nice, and might bring another new car...
No pressure at Lafayette, either... FWIW... I've been to the GI one a couple times... not much there either time...
No one was at C&C on Arap. I'm not sure that having C&C at a car dealer is a great idea. Oh well. On a MUCH worse note, while enjoying the day, a driver at a stop light in front of me decided to back over my hood. See pic.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks. I'm wondering.. Ricambi shows the LH and RH fenders are two separate parts. (Ferrari 360 Spider Parts : Table 100 - BODY - OUTER TRIMS) Yet, clearly, they are one part in this picture. Hmmm.... ???
That picture makes me sick to my stomach. I think about that pic now when I'm at a stop light, even in my daily driver. I will never come up close to another car when I'm in my Ferrari ever again. I truly used to have actual nightmares about my Ferrari getting wrecked. Stay strong. You will get through this. Here's hoping you'll be good to go by Spring. -F
Drew, a Jeep Laredo. Her family was in other cars around the same light, and told her she was in the wrong lane. She threw it into reverse to backup and switch lanes. Ooops... Joshman, I'm looking at parts because I want to ensure the best possible repair, where SF might use inferior quality or used. Turns out, SF has actually been good about the level of repair required for this type of vehicle.
Damn shame, I'm sure she felt ill when she saw the car she hit and dollar signs flashed before her eyes. Great color, btw. Rosso Mugello?
Drew, the build sheet indicates an out of production color. The PPG sticker says Rosso Barchetta, and no color number. Kind of makes sense as RB was not in the color palette for 2004. Get this.. her d*ckhead husband walks over, looks at my 360, and says "I guess they don't make them like they used to." I feel I exercised amazing restraint by replying simply "I guess they don't make responsible drivers like they used to."
I would have knocked the jacka$$ out! Inexcusable! Seriously, I would have completely lost it. More power to you.
Ronnie: I have to say, SF has been good, even recognizing without a fight there will be Inherent Diminished Value. They base IDV on a percentage of the repair cost. I'm going to get my own expert opinions on IDV and so it'll just be a negotiation, not fighting for the basis of the claim in principal.
Well, I am truly sorry to hear of this. However, that is easily fixable and your car will be good as new again. A friend of mine had a 360 spider (also Rosso Barchetta) that someone else had gone off the road with and had similar damage except on all the panels. It was fixed and repainted and at that point it was just about the nicest 360 Spider anyone had ever seen. I ended up selling it for him and the buyer was super happy with the car. The important thing is getting it fixed by the right people. Anyways, good luck with it but don't sweat. It will be very nice again.
