I've always thought the 4 "bumps" would get in the way.

Unless you are doing a lot of in & out under the car it's hard to beat a big piece of cardboard (2 thicknesses if you want comfort). You don't have to jack the car up as far and the floor stays cleaner.

How tall are you? And are you of big build or smaller?

I am 6'4" and 230lbs with broad shoulders. I have that creeper and I do not fit on it. I liked the lowness aspect to it but my neck ends up on the pad instead of my head, and my ass gets squished by the wheel "humps" at the bottom.

I have a metal sears one that is good except too short and very narrow. I cut the rails and welded in extensions and its pretty good. I have one I made myself that is the best - just used some 1" square steel tubing that I welded up, and put ball bearings on all the wheels and I used 4" hard rubber wheels from McMaster. It will roll over screws and washers and stuff on the floor, and it was a cinch to make.

But if you are more medium sized or small, it should fit you OK.

Hey! Thats exactly what I used to have before it was somehow lost in a move years ago.

Free huh? Where do I send the postage and the coupon for the free prostate exam? :):):)

Actually, there is a Northern Tool store 5 miles from my house, I think I'll go look at the $30 creeper they advertise.
