    Anyone here a member of McLarenlife Forum. If so I have some questions. As a new MP4 owner I am finding it nearly impossible to post, reply or PM on that forum and cannot find any way to contact an administrator etc. Thanks for any help

    Odd - I am a member there and had no problem signing up and posting and was made an "owner" without even asking. Can you give any specificity? "Nearly impossible" seems odd, as I'd have thought either you can post (after registering and signing in) or not. I've never had to contact the admin there, so can't offer any experience.

    Different environment and IMO a bit less venom toward Ferrari than the vitriol here toward McLaren, esp. the broken record about bad resale values on the Mac.

    Enjoy your MP4-12C; an amazing car especially at current market price.

    Enjoy your new 12C. Last time I emailed the administrator took a few minutes for the response, but I don't know why you have trouble posting.

    I started a thread today about special vs 12C in the track.

    Specifically-- A couple of days ago I posted in the MP4 thread saying I was a new owner on the way to pick up my new car and drive it nearly all the way across the country to get it home and was asking if anyone knew where I could download a manual on the audio/nav system. I got a message that my post had been referred to the moderator for approval and it finally posted this morning. I wanted to post a thank you to all the responders in the original thread (and one guy asked to PM him) and all I get is error messages. I tried starting new threads both in the MP4 section and the administrative section and it will not accept my posts. Keep getting an error message that my post needs more than 5 characters. So I have no way to contact the adminstrators. I do not have an e mail for an administrator -- if someone has that I would appreciate it if you could forward to me.

    just post here for McLaren, there are 100+ owners around. I do this full time and FerrariChat my only website, unlike Andrew and BannedLife's.

    Andrew sold the forums to AutoGuide last October. Since then the administration has been pretty spotty on McLife - that's the only one I use.

    The problem for new users has been especially bad as all their early posts go into a moderation queue and I don't believe the capability exists to send PMs until you've cleared the hurdle of 5-10 posts being reviewed. Not a very welcoming way to treat newbies, but I also know that keeping spammers at bay on a message forum is never fun either. There's probably a better solution, but they aren't using it.

    I am having a worse problem. When I try and register at Mclaren Life all I get is a blank page after I've hit "register". Same on all my devices. I found a troubleshooting page but after I had described my issue and hit "send" I got an error message saying invalid URL. Maybe I should send my new 650s spider back !

    Weird.. I signed up a few weeks ago with no problems. Not a lot of activity over there though.

    I think Senna1999 posts there. I know Noone1 does

    Rob: I think you should have a Mac area here. In a year or two you might what an Alfa area when the rest of the line gets to the U.S.

    I am on Mclarenlife, same start up issues, but just give it time, it will work out. Alternatively I think there is enough cross ownership between the two brands that FerrariChat could easily support a subforum, not a sub of British, but like how Lambochat is treated.

    PS, I absolutely love the LaFerrari vs P1 vs 918 thread, it is great entertainment. I am waiting with baited breath for the 675LT vs 488GTB vs GT3RS thread..
