Since the FIA is run as a closed shop, almost under a veil of secrecy I have no idea what to expect from June 3rd, I don't think the results of Mosley's lobbying and the counter lobbying against him -be it organized or multi pronged- can be predicted...but yes if he does somehow get the vote of confidence to stay....the consequences will be very bleak...

Yes, when you go after the king you must be sure to kill and not just wound him. But with Bernie calling for his head the die is most likely cast.

    Interesting question:

Since Mad Max does more harm than good to F1 in general, it might be even a blessing if he's never seen in the paddock again. I've always said, no president in the last few years would have been better for the sport than this idiot.

OTOH: He wasn't at the USGP 05 and if he had been there, just maybe he'd realized what utter chaos his ruling was creating. It is a lot easier to make dumb decisions in the solitude of your ivory tower than down in the trenches.

While that is a problem, I'm not sure that hadn't been there for a long time already: Bernie was totally at odds with Max at the USGP05 negotiations and we know the outcome.

Yes! Game over! Today's statment by Ecclestone seals the coffin's lid on Mosley's last hopes to prevail...now the question is will he be smart and say ok I resign Monday or will he go through the whole Tuesday charade?
No matter how much lobbying he did in the last few weeks to gain votes it is all a castle of cards blown away today by Bernie...

They say that after nuclear annihilation of the planet some rats will eventually crawl out of the deepest holes and populate the earth. Mosley is one of those rats, just wait and watch.

Ah yes, cockroaches. Not rats. Got my lower forms of life wrong. :)

    A rat has a back bone, Mosley doesn't. ;)

No, I really will not: I would much rahter be talking about the perfect lap around the Nordschleife, about what a classic V12 on red line does to the thing betwen my ears, about Senna's most amazing qualifying laps, about....a million other things...and hopefully we shall soon be able to close this thread.

(answered with a decadent Brit aristocratic voice "Yeeeeaaahhhh actualllllly...."

Yes :) here is the only segment of « Reversal of fortune I could find on Youtube [the movie where Irons plays the socialite who murdered his heiress wife and is fully intent on getting away with it] : ignore the beginning: his role as smooth bastard who gets away with murder –literally- is more relevant to Mosley towards the end…and just wait for the last verbal exchange right at the end as he gets into the limo: eerie no?!

Oh and by the way it appears he didn’t do too badly in that movie….I had no idea!
