The LIV and PGA guys together in Augusta. Scheffler overwhelming fave at 4-1. I laid money on Matsuyama and Koepka to win, and top 10 bet on Lowry. It will be interesting to see how the TV ratings fare, given the crater that the PGA has created. I have barely watched any golf this year, and used to be avid fan. It's just dull.

I don't watch or play golf, so a few questions...
    1) How does LIV make the PGA dull(or maybe it doesn't)?
    2) Has the PGA always been dull, and you've just realized it? Isn't golf on TV dull period?
    3) What's the 'crater' the PGA has created?

I play a round of golf every week, have for many years.

I don't care about LIV vs PGA, they can all get bent and/or go broke. It seems like a girls slap fight and no one cares, they are only embarrassing themselves.

I will put golf on the computer (I have not had tv service for over 20 years) when I want to take a nap. It is great background noise.

I will follow the Masters as it is offered for consumption through masters.com. I sure wouldn't pay to watch golf on tv.

I don't know who will win. If I did, why watch? I would like to see a LIV golfer win just so the golf world could see more whining and crying from the PGA.

It depends on how much of it is now on pay-per-view.

I didn't watch any of the men's or women's basketball final-4 or championship games
because they were all on pay-per-view. Or I could not find them if they were on OTA TV.

The PGA is 'dull' because there is no 'face' of the PGA, all the guys are about the same.
And realizing this is a bit off-topic, there is no 'face' of MLB Baseball, NHL hockey or
nascar stock car racing as well.

You need someONE to watch, like a Mahomes, Brady was, Peyton was... those guys don't exist anymore.
Connor Bedard was supposed to be the new 'face' of the NHL, but he isn't, you hear little about him.

PGA has been dulled down alot, many of your "known names" are gone, so not as exciting to watch week to week when leaderboard is no names.

Your average tournament is pretty dull until the leaders back 9 on Sunday, I usually just watch that. 75% of the time pretty exciting with 3-5 competing for the win and playoffs.

    PGA ratings are way down.

Me too. I loved how LIV players outsized their numbers at the Majors last year. Everyone was saying they weren't serious and would play terrible, the opposite happened. LIV players have less grind and more intensity to play well Majors.

I've said it before, but before LIV some of my most hated golfers were DJ and Reed, I also thought Phil was a dweeb and has only been outclassed sabotaging his own legacy by Tiger.

Like last year, I'm rooting for LIV too. There are only 13 LIV players at Masters this year, but I wouldn't be surprised 3-5 are top 10.

I got a little tear watching the ceremonial start this morning. Player, Nicklaus, and Watson all hit good drives. Jack is really frail, this might be his last year.

Tiger honestly played great for 2 days, but his body just couldn't hold. What are the chances he does a WD?

I bet he regrets the "Navy seal" training, whoring, and pill popping now. It was a given he would break Jack's record for decades.

sad Bryson lost his mojo a few holes, but that fairway iron hole out on 18 to save birdie was amazing.

**** this Masters, Scheffler is probably going to win it, the one person I don't want to win. Front was looking great for awhile 4-way tie.

I keep pulling for Tommy Fleetwood.
I liked John Rahm ever since they forced him out of a tournament he was leading, because of Covid.
    (No, that's not a political statement, it's a fact)

Whatever happened to Brooks Koepka? Did he retire, or just disappear?

I'm more than happy to watch Tiger shoot high 70s at every major the next 20 years if he's up for it. I'm biased but he's still the most captivating golfer to watch for me

@Whisky same for me w/ John Rahm. He didn't just get screwed out of that tournament, but the Tokyo Olympics as well. Was very gratifying to see him win last year and to sign his big payday. He owes nothing to anybody

We went Wed last week and saw Koepka play some on the back. He looked good physically, but can't help but wonder if he's trying too hard to recapture the magic of that run he had. A lot of guys seem to have that happen and he's at a different stage of life right now in a couple different ways - maybe when the dust settles, he'll hopefully have another run

he took a LIV check, some of those going over have taken a step back and need to rebuild the fire like Koepka, Rahm, Smith. others have used the lighter schedule to focus more intensely on the majors.

Does only playing 54 holes in regular tournaments hurt the LIV players in the majors?
