Travolta's house is amazing :D A mans house is his kingdom :p
Ok since you found Wayne Manor, where in the world is the house they used for Norman Osborn in the Spiderman movies? You know, the gothic mansion perched on top of a skyscraper. A quick Google search turned up a lot of crap, but nothing on that house.
A few pics of my neighborhood in orlando. The first pic is the house being built across the street from mine. 3 years of construction and counting... should be done this spring Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Dustin. I love my neighborhood. Nice to come home too. BTW I have a brother named Dustin. Simon
Jeez...I can't imagine what a 20,000-square foot home looks like. Are the owners mostly business owners? Lot of pretty low-key cars from the pics.
took the pics this am while walking the dog and baby... most of the cars with the exception of the lexus 430 are service cars (gardners, maids, etc). daily cars are relatively normal.... lots of 6 and 7 series bmw. couple new M5's. several e/s-class mercs, 1 e-55. full variet of suvs, hummers, lexus, range rovers and cadillacs. most extreme daily driver i'm aware of is 1 bentley gt. few people have f-cars. couple lambos. couple maserati's.
You should see the crap around here. Dick Vitale just built a house in Lakewood Ranch - that thing has to easily be 20k s/f. The rest of the homes around him are nearly as big. I think after a certain size, they're just cartoonish, especially if it's just two or three people living there. To each their own. I don't think I could use more than 9,000 s/f on a good day. RMX
That is a stunning neighborhood Simon. I was thinking Isleworth at first, but it doesn't look like the layout. Mabye Lake Butler Sound? The homes are too big for Lake Nona imo. Edit: Actually...I'm thinking it's Lake Nona, but that last pic looks a lot like LBS. Edit again: Did you hear about David Siegel's house in Lake Butler Sound? Bought 5 or 6 lake front lots and is still builidng this 77k sq ft house. It's been over 3 years iirc and should take a lot more, ridiculous.
My friend's fiance's parents own a landscaping company in Bradenton that did his house. Not sure if it's his new one. I can pull up some pics later, I can't remember their company's name.
Good friend lives in LBS. Seagels, house is absurd. His old house is down the street (now his Ex's from what I hear, and supposedly 40,000 ft^2),. We're in Heathrow Woods.
here's some nice houses from my old boss and now friend in Atlanta's neighborhood and a couple of others fro ATL that I've seen: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Here's the estate of the late Al Lerner (owner of MBNA) and family, just down the street from me in Hunting Valley, Ohio. 100,000 square feet Private lake, pool, and tennis courts He flew in trees from all across the nation to shield his house from the street. However, you can see a little of the house from the street if you look through the iron gate. Here is an image from google maps: its the only one I have http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=orange,+ohio&ll=41.461559,-81.423647&spn=0.004028,0.013561&t=k
b-mak here is more on that concrete house from above; http://www.archrecord.com/recordhouses50/02_1977.asp
Not that big really, minimum of 1 acre by neighborhood rules. most on 1-1.5 acre. few on nearly 2. couple on double lots so about 3 acres. for me it's a nice size. know your neighbors, but not right on top of them.
hi Noah, Seen many of your posts, glad to finally respond to you. I guess it depends on your point of reference. I agree with you, 1 acre is big. But there are always bigger fish... I feel very lucky for what I have every day. I continue to dream and work, but not envy what others may have. Nice way to live... Simon Image Unavailable, Please Login
Anything over 10,000 s/f doesn't make sense to my little brain. If I were to build something that size, I'd want it filled with secret passageways (i.e., revolving bookcase that leads to a secret part of the house, a la Batman, Addams Family)). I'd love a house like that!! RMX
