I would give Iron Key $50m to unlock the drive. I'm sure they can crack it the same way the Israelis can crack the Iphone. You need someone reputable to do it .....either that or the money would be gone and you wouldn't know the difference.

Still find it bizarre that people believe that Bitcoin (or any other crypto) is soon to replace FIAT currency. It's way too volatile and people don't realize how quickly it can get shut down. If/when the exchanges aren't allowed to operate any longer, it would render the coins useless instantly.

It's not the first time a story like the above has happened. Someone lost his thumb drive with millions on it. Some exchange owner died (or fled?) and no one had access to the exchange, therefore all the money in it was inaccessible (imagine that, the owner of the bank you've got your money in dies and that's it...all your savings gone!).

Bitcoin/Crypto is hugely flawed. Great for those who successfully speculated on it but the only reason it's worth anything is quite simple: Money laundering. That and the believe by crypto nerds that actually think it'll replace money. The majority of the world hasn't a clue what bitcoin is or does.

It has no value or function other than what you stated, money laundering, black market, drug dealing etc. But guess what? The government has already moved in and soon those functions will be gone. Then it's just going to be continued to be used as gambling LOL
