Interesting. The cross itself is the "Croix de Lorraine" (Cross of Lorraine) which dates back to the crusades, and in particular, era of Knights Templar in France. It is mainly associated with the crusades, and crusaders. It's also a heraldic emblem associated with the Medici in Italy. It has many references as a symbol. (I studied a some iconography in seminary) The upper crossbar is meant to represent the so-called "Pilot Inscription" that described the charges or reasons and the identity of the executed. On the show, Magnum, Rick, and TC wore the rings because they were war buddies in Vietnam. The symbol has quite a large representation beyond the TV show. Craftsmanship is excellent, really nice work there.
