I am heading down this path in November. I am aware that EngineFixer does exellent work with 355 heads and that is one very good choice. I am looking for other choices in the Bay area so that I don't have to deal with shipping the heads and can get them back quicker. Can someone suggest possible machine shops in the Bay area that have had experience with 355 valve guides issues and their repairs? Thanks

There are 2 in NorCal. Norman racing in Berkeley and Lesco in SLO. Everyone else I have seen do those have turned into a train wreck.

Lesco does them for me, Euginio and several other shops around CA.

Norman Racing does all of the machine work for Ferrari SF. They have done hundreds of the 355 haads, and have all of the special tools to do them properly. I wouldn't have anyone else do the repair. Their number is 510-525-1164, ask for Mike, as he does all of the head work.

Brian- I was hoping you would let us know who you used. From your past posts, they must be pretty good. Something else for the hard drive.

    This must be them:

    Yes they are.

And unlike Norman Racing they use all higher quality aftermarket parts and are delivering an improved product. Norman, while very good is locked in with the dealer and has been doing them the Ferrari way which is what got us into this problem to start with. While they can do it with the better parts Stephan and his guys at Lesco have great pipelines to Ferrea and Manley and stock many of the parts to do them. They have been doing so many 355 heads he has been considering getting a couple of pairs to do an exchange program.

Found this on Face Book, put in 'Lesco Engines' and the Ferrari link to some great pictures,
    looks like a nice operation.
