    BTW - it's not dust on the car. It's damn pollen. We're in TN. And despite the car in a garage and under a cover, it's covered!!!

    Not uncommon for the door latch to wear as shown ditpixs has given solid advice..
    As for lubricants check out Wurth products "its not cheap" but IMOP best in the industry.
