Anyone know a good place to purchase an authentic Louis Vuitton mens wallet online? Other suggestions for wallets? Thanks!
Have you seen one in person? My brother has one and I have to say, I hate it when he pulls that thing out. How do I say this???....It's like if a guy were carrying a LV purse. Its THAT bad. Are you just looking for a really nice wallet? Get a Coach Leather. If you find anything better, let me know. e
e, I'm guessing he has the Louis Vuitton patterned one right? I'm looking at a different one http://www.louisvuitton.com/web/flash/index.jsp?buy=1&langue=en_US&direct1=cate_m&direct2=cat10021&direct3=cat10026 (the one labeled "multiple" If anyone knows of some good sites for fine authentic wallets post em up.
I looked at the website. He has the "Multiple" It is the LV monogram. Now I have to say this; I saw some other newer ones there and they are pretty sweet. How about the taiga or te Nomade Leather. Even the grey one is pretty cool.
Yeah, that's where I found the one I was looking at. I see one on Ebay right now too. I'll confirm with the seller whether it's authentic or not and place a bid. Buy it now is $200.
Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather have the $200 IN the wallet. These all look ridiculous. The good old $30 dollar black leather ones work just the same, but to each his own.
What's wrong with having a wallet like LV? Should I not wear designer clothes, drive an exotic car...
Come on guys, you have to be kidding. I have an LV wallet; it is the from the line Toiga and is the small "pocket organizer". It was a present and I must say it is very nice. The quality is first rate and it is wearing exceptionally well.
If you buy LV, make sure it is made in France, otherwise the craftmanship is sub-par, speaking from experience. Also, be aware, LV has a no warranty/return/exchange policy, so when the wallet starts to fall apart, you have no recourse. I was very dissapointed when my wallet started falling apart and even more when LV left me hanging. My wife's LV handbags are made in France, after years of use, they are still in excellent condition. My wallet was made in the U.S. and didn't last but 6 months. I was told by quite a few people that the LV products made outside of France have bad quality control, I wish I would have know before I let my wife waste money on my money holder.
I have a LV wallet and they are crap for everyday use at least in my experience, mine are made in France and they don't last an year and I don't even carry the money on it. They had one a couple years ago I was so close to getting, it was the regular monogram but it was imprinted into a very nice black leather, it had the designer look without compromising it being a "mens" wallet, I haven't been able to find any except for fakes.
Man, I couldn't be bothered to carry a wallet, let alone one with that ghastly LV **** all over it. I carry a simple Coach card holder and money clip. They may be MIC, but they've held up to years of use and abuse. And they look better than that crass LV ****.
Most LV stuff is "finished" in France. Meaning, most LV stuff is crap at their price point. I like Ferragamo cardholders at145~ for everyday use. The Epi cardholder from LV isn't bad either.
I have a question...I do not understand why people (not hinted toward anyone in this thread) but, why would you buy an expensive wallet. I have a $15.00 wallet. IMO, 405.00 is expensive for a wallet, that I would rather have that money in my cheapo wallet. I understand its like comparing a KIA with a Ferrari (sort of), it does the same job, but not like the Ferrari, if you get what I mean. I guess I'm not super fashionable.
Eluxury or the actual LV site is the only place you can be assured it's authentic. Don't even bother with ebay unless you have someone VERY knowledgable check it out, and even then you could get screwed. I find that LV wallets and purses are made well and hold up well, but then I am not a man sticking it in my back pocket all day, so mine don't get that kind of wear.
I've got an LV wallet in my back pocket right now, a black Taiga (no LV pattern on it, synthetic materia, looks like a normal wallet). After seeing the quality in my wife's LV purse, and checking out the quality of their wallets in my local LV store, I got one. Love it. I've probably got a dozen or so wallets at home and I used to change 'em out every 6 months give-or-take depending on how well the wallet holds up. I've had this LV in use for over 2 years now, maybe 3, every single day, and there isn't a single stitch out of place. Yes, it's a good chunk of change, but worth it IMO. I've had everything from Coach to a wallet made out of duct tape (http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/gear/5f21), this LV is the strongest by far (though for the $400+ I spent on it, I expect it to be). I'm actually a bit of a frugal spender. I give myself $50 a month for discretionary spending which is roughly two zeros short of what most people on this site have for monthly extras - but I have no problem spending money on either things that are important (I buy organic food every week for example, spending 50% more than I would in a conventional supermarket), or spending money on quality (my wallet). You won't find me in a Lucky Seven store because I can get jeans at the Gap that look almost as good and last just as long, you won't find me buying anything at all from Prada, but you will find me at places where the quality warrants the price. I am very same, except I don't have a limit, I have a bank account. Sorry for the hijack, back to your wallet discussion.
