Hi everyone, i am about to purchase a Ferrari 812 Superfast very soon and I wanted to have your opinion and knowledge about which exhaust would provide the loudest sound in the car (with and without valves). I was thinking of going with the Titanium Ryft does anyone have an idea of how many db Doest it provide ? Thanks Everyone
The loudest? A decat and straight through pipe. Super loud and super cheap. Is that the best or optimal sound? No! Not sure what you are actually looking for, but I think I answered your question. For me, the best solution is 100 cell cats (loud but still sounds good) and Novitec rear boxes with X pipe. Loud but not offensive.
Thank you Karl for your reply, so the project on the car is to make it a bit more special than she already is, she will have a Novitec Body Kit (The Soft One) and for the exhaust I was really wondering if the Ryft one was the “best” or if I could found even better. I’ll drive the car time to time but she will mostly be used for car show, meetings…
I haven't heard the Ryft so can't comment. There are various forums on this and the consensus seems to be the best set up - Novitec rear boxes, an X pipe and 100 or 200 cell sports cats from Noivtec. Note that a decat is the loudest option but you'll lose quite a lot of the melody - it is very loud but almost like a tractor or similar!
Decat + straight pipes also comes with a lot of fumes, a CEL light, and is not emission compliant in (most of ?) developed countries. It also decreases the low end torque I believe, and is nothing short of unbearable for anything more than a 5min drive, unless you wear ear defenders I guess.
Haha! I start our 812 with the garage doors closed and tiptoe out of the neighborhood in 3rd gear at 6:30 am to maintain good relationships with my mostly retired neighbors!
I’m in an upscale condo. When I ask the valet to get the cars from the garage, I can literally hear them start the 812 and 458SPIDER! Lol
