I for one am longing for a kinder gentler Dino nation. I love the Dino of course. I just didn't appreciate it as much earlier. I don't believe it had anything to do with values. It has to do with aging well and appreciating beauty.

The look is the number one thing attracting me to it. And I won't be offende if you want to call the car a fake, kit or any other dispariging terms. I just ask that you refrain from saying that the poor car is "trying" to be something it isn't.

Can't we all just get along?

Let's refrain from slinging insults and keep the discussion here focused on the car and not on each other. The thread has been cleaned up, so let's play nice from here on out.

Now that we're in the right place. Back to this machine. I'm afraid it's destined to be a track day special. The bits would add up so fast as to make it impracticle. Not event eligible for anything and lacking the comforts of the 360. I suppose someone could make it a street machine but that's for the person that wants to.

I'm afraid that it's hard to make sense of. Static art? Really the best I can do is track car.

Why keep flogging this very, very "dead horse"? Give it up already, we don't pray that our cars rise in value, so that you,
"mere mortal" (aren't we all) cannot afford one.

Oh, and by the way, and I am speaking only for myself, I don't dribble over anything.

    My dog does, seldom.

    Regards, Alberto

I have just seen a photo of the interior of this car and was shocked, it looks as if they have cut and shut the existing side chassis tubes to create the wheel base, this from a so called "Ferrari specialist" who stared this project......not good in a potential 400bhp fibreglass car.......not good at all.

I don't understand all of the hate being spewed against this project. I think that this is a very interesting project, combining a genuine Ferrari/Dino 308GT4 chassis (likely a write-off) with a genuine Ferrari 360 drivetrain and an accurate fiberglass copy of a 246 Dino body. It should be very fast (unlike a 246 Dino), while having all of the looks of a 246 Dino. While obviously not for everyone, if you're a real "car guy" and Ferrari enthusiast, I can't see how you could be opposed to this project.

This could be the perfect car for someone who loves the look, but is put off by the poor performance (today's standard) of a 246. As for those that don't like, no problem, don't buy it. I like this idea. I'm thinking about a 355 or 360 motor in my Mondial so I like this idea, but don't have the time for the engine switch now.
