I am looking for US Enzo with low mileage, no accident history and complete history and records. I already look at FML and dealer web sites so this more for someone who is interested in selling but doesn't want to list their car. Please PM me.

Twice the mileage but you won't see yourself coming in the other direction if you buy the Argento Nurburgring (Silver) USA market Enzo for sale in California...

Yeah, but for $1.65MM? For that price, you could buy the red one, repaint it and still have enough left over for a show-winning Daytona (and maybe still have enough left for insurance for both).

Exclusive factory colors command a premium. A more useful choice would be their Orange Stradale for 10% of the Enzo asking price.

What happened to the pair of red Enzo models with nine hundred and something miles on each for sale in (Florida?) some time ago? They sat for quite a while as I recall.

Yeah, but how much more? And while a great number of serial numbers are accounted for beyond the alleged 400, the colors for all of the original 400 are not yet known, let alone the hundred or so extra. While it might seem like The Argento Enzo is the only one of its livery, there's no proof of that. For a long while it was believed that Von Finck's Enzo was the only one painted white...

Not sure, I'd have to look it up.

If rarity is at the top of one's list of priorities, then the Argento Enzo just might be worth the near-half-a-mil premium. But even any-colored Enzo in the US is rarer than an F40 in the US, let alone a red Enzo.

On the other hand, a black Enzo is worth the premium (because it's black!).

    :)

Hey, cue, did you find out about any others? Surely there have to be more than two available. Anyone know of any others that are for sale? Dealer-owned, privately owned, doesn't matter...

Getting closer; but that one is red, and you mentioned silver in your last post.

By the way, they're smoking crack asking one point five for that car. But there's something very interesting about it. It's got a very early serial number for a US-spec Enzo (the 35th Enzo built overall if you go by serial number), but the assembly number (52225) and the body number (105) are very high (for any Enzo in that early serial number range, let alone a US model). Lastly, all of the cars in that immediate serial number range are 2003 US models, built in late 2002. But this car's build date is October of '03. Pretty crazy, huh?

I don't have anything suspect on this car; just run of the mill spots and listings. I saw it at the 2004 French Quarter Classic, Texas dealer plates, owned by Ron Bordelon at the time. In January of '07 it comes up for sale at Beverly Hills Classic Cars, 765 miles; still for sale, same mileage(!), nine months later. The aforementioned TX dealer plates were later seen on a silver Enzo (interesting...). Last August, this car was still for sale at BHCC, asking ten grand more than today's asking price.

Does anyone know why this car's price is so high? Is there something special about it that we don't know? The unusually high assembly number suggests it has all updates.

Well, I said there was also a silver one and there is:

    http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/Search/DRauSearchResults.aspx?makeid=31&makename=Ferrari&modelname=Enzo&modelid=35

I don't know that the price is high. It's supply and demand and unless you can find another one like that for less, then that is the price. Is a 1 carat diamond really worth up to $10,000? Is a useless shiny stone found in the dirt, but since we can't hope to find one in our backyards and it's very desirable, the price is very high. So yes, there is not way that car is really "worth" 1.4 million dollars, but since you can't just go to your local Ferrari dealer and buy one, there is a serious premium to be had.

Now, is the owner pushing the concepts of supply and demand too far? Maybe, maybe not. If you have a net worth of 10 million dollars and are obsessed with Ferrari cars and collecting them, then 1.4 million is not a big deal financially and your hands are really tied since you feel you HAVE to have an Enzo. Frankly, I think anybody looking to seriously buy a car costing more a really nice "normal" house in a high middle-class to low upper-class neighborhood in NJ must have some fairly strong commitment to the prospect. It's therefore a sellers market...assuming there is a market at all at a time convenient to the seller. My guess is there is much more people who can afford and would like to have an Enzo than there are people who not only have one, but are willing to sell it.

Get ready to spend 1.5 million to get one of them. I'd rather throw down and get an F430 for 10 times less. But if it's your dream care, go for it!
