Does anybody know of a source for used headers? I ask because I know my car had headers installed at one point and then was put back to stock (probably because it had a higher trade-in value that way), so that owner must have sold them separately. I figure this must be fairly common practice, so not sure why used ones are so difficult to find. I'm looking fur used Fabspeed, Agency Power, Capistro, Kline, etc. Just the header, nothing else. Thanks.

Well, the obvious candidates would be our classified section and eBay. But you might call exotic auto recycling in Cordova cal.

Why would somebody throw away perfectly good performance aftermarket headers?

I keep forgetting a lot of people on here refer to the OEM manifolds as headers, so hopefully the name brands that I mentioned make it clear that I'm looking for performance headers.

Why would the original manifolds command a premium? It´s a flawed design and a ticking time bomb, if i was in the market i would pay more for a sorted car.

If you sell to Ferrari dealer or they need to put a Ferrari factory warranty on the car you have to have OEM fitted (even if you remove them straight away after the warranty is added - they will honour warranty with non OEM they just won't add it).

Warranty on an old F430? That´s something new... I guess you in the US are lucky to be able to have bumper to bumper warranties.

Afraid I can't help as i don't have warranty. A call to your local F dealer should give you all the info.

Thanks. Just asking because i know there i something similar here as well but i have never seen a car sold with the warranty. Maybe the rules are so strict that few or any of the old F430s can qualify.

So this thread has gone completely off topic, but just to chime in... in the USA, one can purchase an aftermarket "warranty", which is basically a service contract, for just about any car/any age. It will cost a fortune for something like an F430, so one would have to determine if it's financially worth it. I have opted to not buy one and just take the chance I will not need anything substantially expensive. I think I've bought a winner, because after two years of ownership, it's needed nothing.

Still off topic - this isn't an aftermarket warranty but is from Ferrari and when I enquired it was about £3000 - you then get discounts in subsequent years if you haven't used the policy. Just checked and the same 15 year policy is available in the US.

So does anybody know where I might find used performance headers for an F430? Again, I would consider any reputable name brand such as Fabspeed, Capistro, AP, Kline, etc.

Well, as it turns out, you couldn't be more wrong. I bought the Topspeed headers based on your feedback, and when I received them, I was appalled at the design and construction. No regard to making the runs equal length or the bends round. See my thread here: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/146202335/ As you will clearly see, they look NOTHING like Fabspeed headers and come from China, NOT Taiwan.

The ‘made in taiwan’ myth seems to stick despite plenty of evidence to the contrary. FabSpeed are made in Pennsylvania, USA. FabSpeed have on a few occasions now hosted a Cars And Coffee, and have regularly invited F-Chatters to come and tour their shop to see the parts being made.

I think depends on the headers, unless something has changed the F430 headers are made in Taiwan. If you have specifically seen F430 headers being manufactured then that would be new information. It would seem unlikely since the design is from previous evidence not theirs alone to manufacture since it is shared with other 3rd parties.
