It's a long story, but my daughter is moving back Silicon Valley, as in next month. Although she's going to be working in Palo Alto (she's a lawyer) she'd rather be closer to the city. Last time, she worked downtown and may have to again. It's one of those four-day things to find a place, so if any of you have some ideas, please PM away. Being a Stanford grad and previously living in the valley, she knows it is going to be expensive. It would just be great to find a nice place instead of a dump.

    Thx

Redwood City has an abundance of available rentals near the train station. As you know, not cheap but they have so many available, negotiate! Also, look around for the same places before you sign. I know of a situation where an individual was about to sign and saw the same apartment, in the same complex on Craigslist for $500 less.

Off of downtown Palo Alto is a renovated complex called Mia. Close to train and downtown.

Is she looking for an room, apt or townhouse? Any budget range? Room would be about 1000, apt would be 2000-3000, townhouse is 2700-3800.

Apartment, preferably two bedrooms. But, time is tight. She needs to be in by the end of August. Thanks.
