Please note that 250 GTE #2895 GT was NOT sold new to Rob de la Rive Box. Rob was a Dutch dealer resident in Villmergen and later in Seon, Switzerland. 2895 GT was sold new to Garage de Montchoisy in Geneva, Switzerland, who delivered it to the original owner in Geneva. Rob Box bought 2895 GT MUCH later. He never owned a NEW Ferrari. I have known him for many years. And yes, I know that the information comes from the auction catalogue, but the information about Box is wrong.
    See you in London!

Some of the Ferrari's to be auctioned (including the 275GTS and RHD Lusso) have been consigned by John Collins of Talacrest, I suspect there may be other cars entered where dealers are trying to shift stock.

Tiens Kevin, what book is that? It doesn't ring a bell, where did you buy it?

(BTW, GTB/4 10545 is listed as LHD in Matthias Urban VIN's book -Raab Files-)

Next week this time we are on the way back home!

    JR:
    10545 is and has always been a correct R H D 275 GTB/4. Everything else is nonsense!
The original exterior color was Nocciola 106-M-27.
The original interior color was Beige VM 3218 leather with light gray carpets.
    Assembly sequence #209.
    Scgalietti Body #A0248.
Factory extras at the time for this car were:
Alloy wheels, Marchal plugs, radio console, power windows, GTC seats and GTC accelerator pedal.
Consignor is a private Japanese owner who keeps the car in the UK. It was last shown at the FOC UK meet in July 2008.

an accurate analogy!!id wager many if not all of those cars are "dealer" owned cars more than private owners.of course one must remember that like most auctions what you see going down isnt exactly whats really going down!!

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone who is going could note and post the high bid for the cars that are NOT sold as this data will prove more interesting I suspect in the current climate

Without some idea of who bid it that figure (in each case) may be misleading as a reliable indicator.

Exactly! I have personally witnessed high-end auction BS on more than one occasion, and on more than one continent. Unless you are personally involved you don't necessarily know the truth, and sometimes not even then.
I have seen sellers ripped-off by the auction house right before their very eyes, cars "sold" at high prices (but not really sold) numerous times. I would be suspect of any high prices that may happen at auction in this economic climate.
