I have an older weathertech frame with plastic cover for my older Ferrari. Worked great on my 430, but my new F8 has the battery tender connection in the back just above the license plate. Surprise ... the weathertech frame is too "thick" and causes the battery tender cable to not make connection.

Anyone else experience this? Any workaround or just have to go with a thin frame with no plastic to cover the plate?

go on amazon and buy some silicone plate holders. think like a silicone cellphone case, but fits a plate. they are very thin. but do the job better than the hard frames. i tried one, and now have them on everything.

I had a custom Ferrari carbon fiber one made for me by Fabspeed— it’s awesome and matching to Ferrari carbon weave as well.

Do the Fabspeed frame also cover the license plate with a clear acrylic to protect the license plate itself? It makes for easy cleaning and keeps the license plate looking new at all times.

No it does not. I just polish and ceramic coat mine. Perfection and of course, the car is never dirty anyway.

That's a great idea. What do you use to polish it and the ceramic source?

I just use a soft (black or white foam) pad on a 2” polisher and some Meguire’s 205– as for ceramic coating, usually whichever one I have open from last car I did— I like the Fireball Devil’s Blood topped with Typhoon, but I also use Kamikaze, Gyeon, G-Techniq and CQuartz products - any are perfectly good.
