Anyone going to try one of these out? Part of me really likes it and part of me thinks it's blasphemy to do this to a Ferrari. The part of me that likes it thinks a 360 that might be one of the harder ones to sell (bad colors, etc.) might be a good candidate for this.

if its a car that actually will be raced, it looks pretty cool. Otherwise its way too Fast And Furious for me.
a bad colour/hard to sell 360 would be better off with a wrap, IMO. a kit like this takes an already too specific car and makes it even more specific.

Since you asked. Absolutely hate it. I've seen this kit on many a 458 on Instagram and it looks terrible.

Maybe if it was put on a track only car. Street ? No.

I think it would look good if you had a car you just tracked.

It could never be used for anything except the track. Look at the ground clearances and wheel wells!

Agreed but I've seen this kit on 458 street cars also.

I mean if you found a cheap kind of beat up 360, why not? I agree it's a bit much and that air suspension is going to probably kill the handling, but if you're building a track car, or want something that demands even more attention than a Ferrari already brings, again, why not?

Is that a complete bolt on kit or do you need to hack up the quarter panels?

They have to be hacked up. In this video you can see the install done on an Aventador. (don't mind the music)
@ 1:30 you can see the start of the panel cutting.

The purist is going to hate this kit but the "one off kinda unique guy" is going to love it . I happen to be the unique guy . I would do this kit to my car but would go a different route on the rear wing . I happen to be a "don't be like everyone else" kind of person as you can see from me having a twin turbo 360 . I would also not be installing the air ride and just lower the car . I think this kit on my car , the way it looks now , would be exactly what I like . I am a show and go person .

To me it's like a modern Koenig with a bit less restraint. Exposed fasteners like 993 GT2 (or bushwacker?) Definitely not for me.

Maybe if it was a salvage title race car that was wrecked, and burned. Actually no, still wouldn't.

I have an '03 360 Spider wrapped in matte black with a Hamann body kit.

Do I care about the resale value? No.
Do I care whether other Ferrari owners likes it or not? No.
Do I care if the car appreciate in the future? No.

It attracts a lot attention and I enjoy driving it tremendously. It's a toy and when it's time to move on, I will... probably a 458 in three years. Life is short. Do what MAKES YOU HAPPY!

It's your car, make it your own.

It looks cool to some and not to some, but does it look cool to you?

If it is then go for it, it's your money.

For the sake of the question, I think it's bada$$ but I'm pretty sure some days I'm "meh" about it. Depends on mood. :)

Liberty Walk is definitely a love it or hate it brand. Personally, I'm a fan of them. However, they've been taking over SEMA that last few years, and it seemed like everywhere I went last year, there was a Liberty Walk car. At that point, they somewhat lose their uniqueness.

what use is a wider body if it adds too much weight, on a track?
    It will not increase performance!
from my understanding, wider body kits are for looks only and are part of the JDM tifosi cultures

The absolute only advantage this would add to a track car is the ability to run much wider wheels and thus much wider tires.

This is primarily designed as a street kit. The only track car I know of running it is the drift Murcielago.

It's the faux racer thing. Like when kids with basically stock Hondas drive around with purple anodized tow hooks sticking out the back of them, or put on aluminum gas tank covers.

After clicking the link, I must admit it looked better than I expected.

    The 458 LBW looks terrible.

The only widebody kits I've really liked on any Ferrari, have been the actual Ferrari GT3 racecars, which are fully functional.

As a track car it would look very cool. As a car on the street, it's totally impracticable to drive around without air ride. The LW kits make me cringe when I see them on 458's.

i whould love to have a LBW kit on my Ferrari F430. think the kit looks awesome. but don´t have that kind of Money to spend on some piece of plastic and don´t have the guts to start cutting in a "brand new" car or let someone else do it for me...

airride also feels wrong but understand that it´s a must if you want to be able to drive the car at all:)

    Complete garbage poseur kits.

and I'm a fan of modifications...these kits just destroy the dynamics of the car.

Same goes for the RWB hack jobs of Porsche's.

My opinion though...everyone is entitled to their own. If it makes you happy, go for it. :)
