This is a F1 forum on FerrariChat.
Understood....but the YouTuber is not a hustle. Lewis is a hustle. Again, the question was "Can you think of another driver on the grid that has the same similarities as Lewis regarding the video?"
The youtuber has what i call a "hustle" - his channel. There are many similarities, other drivers have expensive cars, travel by jets, buy expensive houses/things, drive race cars etc.
Yes, other drivers do but those other drivers are not on social media or voicing their discourse with what they think social media or worldly events that fit their narrative in lue of the sport(F1) they are in.
It's not an aspect that I like much in Hamilton personally, but that doesn't detract from his talent as a driver. But people use his lifestyle and some political stances to dismiss his achievement as a driver; that's where I don't agree. Apart from those in denial, they cannot forget the outstanding driver Hamilton is, so they go for the jugular and attack his persona. More than one very successful individual has been put down following an attack on his opinions, private life, etc ... This forum is supposed to deal with F1, not join other social media and become a gossip column for the detractors, IMO.
Thank-You Don't blame us FChatter's for targeting Lewis or the video by the YouTuber. Lewis brought this all on himself.
I agree. Lewis on track is one thing. What he does outside of the track will get scrutinized due to his social media posts and what he stands for given the sport he it s in. The Youtuber has a point due to Lewis's off-track antics.
Why on earth is anyone here spending their precious heartbeats and pulmonary functions discussing how much they dislike Lewis Hamilton? You must have better uses for your time.
yes he is an outstanding driver, no problem with that. Lauda too was an outstanding driver but also a fantastic personality outside formula one. A charismatic guy. It's a shame a driver like Hamilton is so weak in comparison. He likes to give lessons too, this is why so many people hate him. Him and Vettel looks like mourners in comparison with the eighties drivers , all masculine men.
We do not actually know that. 40× more than the average {chassis, engine, transmission, ancillaries} designers and builders; most likely ! 40× more than all the top {chassis, engine, transmission, ancillaries} designers and builders; most unlikely !
While I’m not a huge Hamilton Fan I will day when I met him at Cota last year he was very nice and signed the hat here in the pic for my dad. Now that my dad passed the hat is mine. It was the only autograph he signed that morning - when he won the world championship last year! Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
As usual, words are being twisted. 99% of those in the group you assign as ''Lewis Haters'' don't think he's a bad driver, in fact, the majority say he's pretty good. Just because most of them don't believe he's a GOAT doesn't immediately mean we think he's bad! And time and time again we get asked why we dislike him...and then of course explain we think he's a knob for his persona. Yes this forum is based on F1...but newsflash, Lewis drives in F1! Therefore he's ripe for discussion. If all we would be allowed to do is talk about the racing then this forum would be awfully quiet.
I wonder what criterion one would bring to bear that would qualify one as GOAT ? Drivers Championships Won? Contributing to Constructors Championships won? Races Won? Poles Won? Career Podiums? Races in the Points scored in a row? Respect from other competitors? . . . No mater whether you like it or not: Lewis has over 50% of all the records (modern era), by the end of this year, he will have all of the important ones, And By the end of next year, he may have all that ever mater. And like "who was the best pilot of WW1" this is something for historian to consider, not we of the present.
Why? And the answer is of course Eddie Rickenbacker followed by Francesco Baracca. Richthofen was good, but he also had the best car...er, plane, subservient wingmen, and maintenance team. There's a lot of collective historical knowledge among this group re: F1. If you don't wish to debate/discuss that's your prerogative, but with the assumption that stats alone do not make one the GOAT, hamilton simply falls short. But really, this thread wasn't about any of that. It was about all his hypocritical banterings and whether or not that makes him an idiot.
We are talking about one driver who makes 40 mil and one top engineer who makes less than 1/40 of said driver’s salary when the one engineer is objectively exponentially more intelligent. Again, there’s no correlation between the money a top shelf athlete makes and his or her intelligence.
