Let’s talk about tires!!

My 2023 came with pilot sports. Great tires, probably better than Dunlops. However if you mash the throttle the car squirms side like a muscle car. That is a ton of torque.

 

I ordered Pilot Sport 4S. Simply brilliant.

 

Whatever Ferrari put on the factory launch/press cars are the ones to have. Factory press cars are prepared and maintained to the Nth degree, the test & development drivers assess all the tyres during development and know exactly which ones are the best for the car. The reason there are different brands available in production are purely for supply chain & commercial reasons.

 

The Pirelli PZero PZ4 245/35 and 285/35 with the F04 marking are the homologated tires for Roma. I would, however, use Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 245/35 285/35 with the K2 Ferrari mark which are homologated for the Portofino.

They are exceptional tires. I use them on my 612.

For my wife's Portofino M, we added "TYMX" which is the Michellin Pilot Sport 4S, they have been great so far.

 

I put the Pilot Sport 4S on my California last year and very happy with them. A great balance of performance and useability (I drive the car year round here in Connecticut).

 

I did this too - much more confident driving v the p zeros.

 

I can resist jumping on this thread... I put PS 4S's on my '14 Cal 30 back in Sept '18 and didn't look back! Great tires.
