Steve, good to see you post must have been a fair time since you've been posting.

Was just talking to Matty the other day about Pantera's and stuff like you never seen around our parts.

Love the selection mate, what model is the 928? Looks very clean.

Went out with a bird once and we were in the BMW dealership getting my Z3, any she turns to me and says, that 850 over there...so does it just have one big window at the side......a creased myself and said yes dear, and s******ed all the way home on that one. :D

She did also accept that the lines you get across the road that make yer car rumble coming upto a large roundabout were so blind people knew they were approaching a roundabout, so she didnae really surprise me with comments like that!! :D

    Loving those cars Steve!

The 850 looks mint and I've always loved the 928's, is it a GTS?

You certainly seem to go for the less common cars dont you!

I never knew there was a 928 CS - any piccies of it (please)?

An ex-girlfriend's stepdad has a riviera blue 968 CS, which he takes on a lot of trackdays. Unfortunately I was never able to make it to a trackday when he was going and as I'm now no longer seeing her, I never got to drive it. As u say - great looking car, though pales in comparison to your new 430 - great colour combo!

You know they made a rare turbo version of the 968?

I got photos of a white one at Geneva show years ago.

They only made 72 so they could homologate it, there were only 4 in the Uk when they were produced in '89 and they were given to the Porsche Le Mans drivers at the time, one got written off straight away at Oulton Park by hitting a tree, mine was imported from germany in '99 and I crashed it Feb 2000, I only had it 3 months, I hit some diesel coming off a roundabout way too quick, I wacked the steering to correct that back end but I didn't have a chance.

The info link below isn't that accurate, 0-60 was around 4.8 and top end around 175mph, it was recognisable by the swirly CS on the passenger wing although mine were removed by a previous owner.

I only have pics from before I went digital, I will dig them out and get my daughter to scan them

Pretty sure there are pics of a 430 in a very close colour to that....I'm right in thinking its close to the Laguna Seca BMW produce?

Thanks for the info - I like it - seems pretty stealth for a car with such a quick 0-60 time ;-) Was the interior standard or stripped like the 968 CS? Don't sweat it on the pics if they're too much hassle...

    U mean this one:
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135621887&postcount=850
There's been loads of debate on the colour - some say Mazda Laguna Blue, some BMW Laguna Seca Blue, others say it's a Ferrari colour called Dino Blue. Until someone gets under the luggage cover and takes a pic of the colour sticker we'll probably never know exactly which one...

Cheers Matty, the 928 is an S4, I had a mint 95 GTS 5 speed also which I sold two years ago to buy the Boxer. The 850 is one of 150 RHD 5.6lit 6 speed motorsport cars, its a seriously nice car, way above the standard 850. I paid fairly stiff money for it but its only 40k miles and is showroom, makes up for the loss of the GTS which i always regret selling.
