Saw this one last spring in Beirut Lebanon. They told me it had been there for 4 years or so. At least they had been washing it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
No different cars, I almost bought the one that was in the field. The one in the photo was from eurospares they said it was for breaking as in the parted the car. and half the car was busted up didn't see that one being restored.
This one is right in the town I work in. Sad, a 1967 Porsche 912 rotting away next to someone's garage. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
From this past week, sorry if its been re-posted. It was for sale for $55k up in Long Island New York. '88 Countach , 35k miles, missing interior & lots of missing parts, no photos of the engine or transmission. Lots of red flags, basket case special. Wow! That's really sad. . . As with a Ferrari, it's almost always a better bet to get a good one for $30k more than to invest that difference in rebuilding a car that's been neglected.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Thanks...I needed a good laugh. LoH had a pristine 25th Anniv car for sale about 6 months ago for just over $100k.
I honestly would have trouble taking that for free! If I did, I would take off the wheels and body panels and sell them on e-bay. I would walk away with a few thousand dollars and be happy.
What I can't figure out is why the current owner hasn't done that already. Sell the body panels and shell, the emblems, wheels, and what little else is salvageable, and you can probably find $55k worth of parts, based on the individual used part cost on the open market. With a trashed interior and (most likely) a trashed engine, that thing's beyond hope for anything else.
That dash looks like there was a golf ball sized diamond or emerald hidden in there and somebody was determined to find it. $55k?, I'm sure it will all work when they put it back together
Not necessarily abandoned but certainly not thought of much over the past 20 years Image Unavailable, Please Login
http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/141945015-post501.html There's an abandoned P 928 in a yard of a property I pass by every now and then. The car has been sitting for who knows how long. Can't take a legible pic without "trespassing" on their rot lot. It's kinda' visible by satellite Latitude:38.834888° Longitude:-121.181423°
