The ebay auction with the price people have been complaining about is actually our friend. It has well composed photos at much higher resolution than what can be posted on this site (1,600 x 1,200). Shows the seats from every relevant angle. I cannot spot any difference in the left and right shells. Also clearly shows the mounting rails. I bought a no name pair CF leather for my Pcar since the real GT3 seats are silly $$$$ now. If only I can get used to the ET look..... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I tried studying the pics as best I could, but was still not absolutely sure left and right are the same. Good to know the slider is the same. 1 less part to worry about .
Dick Marconi has a GTS with the sport seats at his museum in Orange County. He's a real nice guy and I'm sure if you contacted him he'd let you take measurements etc.
I put some good thought into this while driving my car the other day and I'm changing my mind on it. I have zero complaints with the stock seats, I really do like them. Only reason I can think I want the carbon ones is that they exist, otherwise I would never actively seek out changing the originals. So, count me out on this, I am leaving her as is
The stock seats are great. There's absolutely nothing wrong with them, except like you said, for the fact that they exist and was a factory upgrade.
The 360 seats are different from the 355 seats. I wanted a set for my 550 and ended up with all kinds of carbon seats to see what would be right. There are a lot of nuances to Ferrari sport seats and only when you like them up do you see the differences. I have some carbon F40 seats that bolt right into the 355 that won't work for any of my current cars. I'm going to put them on eBay. Black leather but they won't work in a 348 because they take standard belts and not the motorized ones. Therefore, they're ideal 355 seats. Someone can use those to make molds if they were so inclined. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Someone on here put them in their 355 and it looks like this. Becaus these are 2 piece seats, I think they would be easier to replicate. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Since is this dead. I'm hunting for seats. I have an opportunity to buy the same beautiful seats as these. Any idea if the 599 seats would fit the 355??! Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Sparco SPX is almost a dead ringer for the 355 carbon seats....maybe if we put together a group buy we could convince Sparco to make a run of them in leather replicating the original Connolly (and original trim patterns), and without the Sparco stitching in the headrest. That Sparco seat just wouldn't do it for me. Looks much different IMO and only a carbon back (with big Sparco logo that would show through the back window). Most seats are much taller as well (the seat back anyway).
Left and right sides are the same. I switched the hardware on the 550 seats I bought to put the passenger seat on the drivers side.
Can you explain why they wont work in a 348? Were they from a canadian spec car or something? Also, are they still for sale?
I posted that 6 years ago. They were sold years ago. Those seats are now in a friend's 355 and they work great for him. As I said in the post, they don't work on a US 348 because of the motorized belts vs manual ones.
