Anyone treated their leather in the winter? I've heard that it's good to do it after the leather is good and hot, but the car is basically hibernating right now and has lots of time available to soak up the conditioner. It's averaging 20's-40's degrees right now here in PA in my unheated garage. Thoughts fellas? Thanks in advance.

Having done it in a heated garage in the winter (50 degrees), I can tell you its not nearly as effective.

However, you can still detail your interior and clean the leather thoroughly with Pristine Clean.

Interested to know as well. I bought the rejuvenator and prisine clean set yesterday. Maybe it would help to pull the seats and apply in your furnace/boiler room? I live in NJ and have an unheated garage as well so that was the warmest place I could think of.

Any secrets to pulling the seats off the rails? That certainly would address one area, but there is lots of leather there which needs attention. It would be easier just to do it all in place with the car in the cold garage.

    Hello? George?

Joe, your .02 is worth way more. I have the conditioner but not the Pristine Clean. Still it says "conditioner" so I'm not sure whether to just wait for spring or go for it.

Get the pristine clean, a nice horse hair brush, and a microfiber towel. You will be amazed at how well it cleans your leather and vinyl, if you put in a little elbow grease. I use it every month and I am in love with the stuff. More importantly for you, the pristine clean removes the rejuvenator oil. When the oil dries it is really sticky. The pristine clean removes it with ease.

FWIW, its not enough to just condition your leather. You have to clean it to get all the crap out of the pores. Some of that dirt, if left unattended can cause premature wear.

I think it is just four allen bolts per seat.

Maybe take a look at some of the BRADAN threads in the TriState forum. They have some great pics of how they detail a car. The first thing they do is out the seats so they can get to all the other nooks and crannies with the Leatherique and shampoo the carpets.

I'm a HUGE fan of leatherique too...
I think you have good idea to remove the seats, bring them indoors to get "warmer" and clean and condtion..
I use the boars hair brush for some light agitation, dont press, just let the bristles do the work - gently.. I also get a pair of rubber gloves, the hospital kind and massage the oil into the seat, it also helps to loosen the grime and softens the leather as you work it.

Removing the seats, 4 allen bolts on my 89 328. My seat rail had a carpet "stay" on the front rail that had to be removed first in order to slide the seat far enough forward to reach the rear bolts.

Good Luck. Your gonna be amazed what the rejuv oil and pristine clean will do. Take pics.

You are 100% correct. Very easy to remove the seat. If the bolts are a bit rusted then use PB Blaster on them and let soak for an hour or more.

Lost my computer so had to get a new ID.
To answer the question in a SHORT way.
    1. Put on the Rejuvinator Oil FIRST and forget about the car till you need it.
    2. NEVER put on Prestine Clean FIRST this is a cleaner and will drive the dirt INTO the leather.
    3. AFTER you use the Rejuvinator Oil THEN put the Prestine Clean in a spray bottle and spray it ON TOP if the Rejuvinator Oil and use a SOFT CLOTH to wipe it down.

    NEVER, NEVER
Use a HARSH towel to rub the leather.

    Take Care
    George P.

Thank you George. Any comment on whether or not to do this process during the winter in cold temperatures while these cars are just basically sitting for often months at a time?
