Hey folks 1995 456 manual trans...seems to have a large leak coming from a hose in the center of the car towards the rear ps..right in front of the ps rear tire but towards the center (left to right) of the car..could that be power steering fluid? it looks like ATF or power steering fluid and yes the steering is whining like a banshee...

    thanks in advance....

The self levelling rear suspension units share pressurised fluid with the power steering. The fluid has to get from front to back of the car - so it is quite possibly PS fluid. Check the handbook for extra information. Hopefully it is a line or hose leak and not a failed self levelling unit. I'd check the PS fluid level pronto as a first step.

There are a coupe of threads about this and related issues.

100% sure this is the self leveling system leaking, that system uses PS fluid and a second higher pressure stage off the PS pump.
Are you sure it is the hose? In that area it could either be a leaking rear shock or the pressure hose to the shock.
Do NOT drive the car until it is fixed, or at the very least give it some PS fluid back before going anywhere, because your pump will likely seize up if you don't; at the very least you'll be shortening its lifespan considerably. The wear will also contaminate the system with metal shavings.

Get some new PS fluid, wipe all the excess oil with brake cleaner and some rags, start the car and spot the leak.
