They dont usualy confirm the date until later in the year. But having spoken with the press dept last week re my passes, they told me that these would be the dates.
Is that to the start of the trip, or to the start of the race, stewart ? I don't want to ejaculate too much excitement, prematurely. cheers, d ps ... anyone else not excited and not lookin' forward to it one bit ? (ha ha)
Stewart, The race out of St. James's Square ? The race on the M20 ? The race out of Calais ? The race to the bar ? The race to the omelette café ? Or that other thing on a racetrack ? J.
Guys I am going again next year. Hopefully in Houx and 99% sure that I won't be in that heap of a Micra, maybe a Civic Type R or Mitsi Warrior truck to put all the kit in! I am still looking for Houx tickets though so if anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ben
The race to the end of the surfboard is by far the most enjoyable - you just need to know which bar and which barmaid.................
Sorry it has taken me so long to answer but i have had other play things to deal with. I will forward the countdown clock details over the weekend. As we speak we have 281 days, 15 hours, 48mins and 15 secs to go.
Following recent auditions, I have now finalised the cooking, cleaning, washing and ironing team, for the "Airtrack" gang next year: (and they have their own minibus !) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi guys - we normally go to various F1 venues but decided to add Le Mans to the calendar for '06. We arrive into CDG on that Friday am, staying at Hilton at CDG making like tourists for the day. Taking TGV train from CDG to Le Mans early Saturday am, staying at circuit from arrival on Saturday until return to the airport on Sunday - want to watch all of the race unless we get sleepy and find a tree to nap under. Does anyone have any suggestions/comments that might be helpful and/or experience with the TGV train to and from Paris? Thanks for any feedback - it's greatly appreciated. Carol & John
yes forget watchin race as its boring(mulsanne at night a must though) and go to arnage village roundabout for the real live action!
Done it loads of time, both ways, no problems, although I usually book my ticket in advance, the train has been full on occasions. Great journey 1 hour, and the bus the the curcuit is outside the station at LeMans. Enjoy, oh I think I paid about 45 for the ticket, you can book on line.
IMHO - part of the Le Mans experience was the drive down (and back), the cars, the people, the sandwiches, the AA man, the tolls, the police. GOing on the train you're going to miss all of that. I recommend you hire a car (Megane's are good apparently) and do the drive down. Rick
that's good news, mate. pc's disc burning all sorted, so now able to copy my pics from lemans ... still want one ? cheers, d
