Currently using a diagnostic tool running Diagzone V10.95 Ferrari software version. When I access my 360, the system selection is very limited compared to the 430. Electronic Injection Airbag System TRW Gearbox CAP(Roof Module CTS) The 430 selection accesses 14 systems. Brakes, immobilizer etc. Does the x431 mini pro access more than 4 systems on the 360? Recently had a P0118 code that the tool did not read. My generic Innova read and cleared. Thanks for the help!
Please advise before I waste more of the Ferrari fund on a tool that may not function! 360 owners with this, or similar, tool access more than the 4 systems listed? Thanks!
If I remember well, you are right: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login But this is old screenshot I saved. It should be better to check again after my last update of Launch X431 Ferrari software.
Thank you! Exactly what I see as well. Odd that the 360 does have better system support. Time to research a tool with better system coverage.
Just a fyi ..new version 11.00 is out and documentation says specifically for 360 tcu Maybe someone with older and someone with newer tcu and a x431 can try and see what exactly is new and improved Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
Here is the summary for 11.00 Summary: Added Marelli TCU (Transmission Control Unit) for 360 Modena model, and optimized interfaces of System Scan and DTC. New Function: Added Marelli TCU (Transmission Control Unit) for 360 Modena model;
My late 2004 360 has the last version of the TCU used in the 360 model (TCU part# 211023, CFC201F.05). With X431 Ferrari version 11.0 I can only connect the TCU by selecting "F1 Gearbox System 201 - First Version" but the read values cannot be correct (e.g. closed clutch position 160.88mm and clutch wear 0.0%). The supposedly correct "F1 Gearbox System 201 - Second Version" option does not work as well as the other TCU options ("Marelli gearbox" (this is new with 11.0) or "System 231") An error report was sent to Launch but up to now I did not get any feedback. I hope any future update may fix it.
I too have the last version of the TCU used in the 360 model (TCU part# 211023, CFC201F.05) and also find that with Ferrari version 11.0 I can only connect the TCU by selecting "F1 Gearbox System 201 - First Version" but the second time I connected the readings were correct or at least appropriate! @flash32 I will look out for the bleed function at next opportunity. @grtoz I must check this again. It will be interesting to know if the special functions will work. It does not look reliable to me so I fear using any special function.
@Tridentecavallino, I got si.ilar readings to you when I had just upgraded to the new version. See below. After rebooting everything was okay. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-G955F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
It would also be interesting to see if gearbox self learn is available for the older tcu can anyone confirm this?
@flash32 Yes, below "special functions" (for CF201) I can find "clutch bleeding actuator" and "engagement selection bleeding". @grtoz Funny. Now it works for me, too. This time my first action was to connect the bluetooth obd2 into the car's plug BEFORE disarming the immobilizer and engaging the ignition. Maybe this makes a difference also. I received obviously correct values for the parameters that I checked (including the six values for distance driven in gear 1..6).
...and an info for Majin_JT: For a 360 I can only find these special funtcions using the actual version 11.0: - clutch configuration - PIS - clutch bleeding actuator - engangement selection bleeding - clutch wear
I greet all the Forum, yesterday I bought the Launch x431 pro3s+ diagnostic. I downloaded all the updates but I can't figure out how to read "clutch wear" and any Pis modification. I start by saying that my 2008 F1 430 car works well and has no problems. Doing a quick test gave some error results which I don't understand and I wouldn't want this diagnostician not reading the car parameters correctly presenting false error tests. I would like to understand before I decide to return it to Amazon. I bought the diagnostic only for Ferrari. I am attaching some photos of the errors indicated by Launch although my car is perfect and does not present any type of problem. Can you tell me what the error codes are? what path to read the wear of the clutch? where do I find the field to change the pis? Maybe in English would help but appears you have a CAN bus error. I would clear the errors out to see if they persist. I've noticed that the clutch bleed OFF does not work. You have to quickly turn off the ignition to stop the pump using a X431. Also the E-Diff bleed does not appear to work on a 2005.
The only tool I am aware of that actually works for <$2000 is the Launch X431V V7. I own this tool and have used it when servicing my own 2002 F1 spider. Ratarossa of youtube fame uses this same tool.
The Pro Mini and X431V are like the same price so not sure why less functionality. My E-Diff module was flash updated along the way so that could be why the launch cannot perform a bleed.
