Which would you choose - all things being equal (mileage, F1/3-Pedal, Coupe/Spider, Color, Options)?

One the early decision points in my own purchase was the 360 still using rubber timing belts and the whole periodic replacement routine. I had that on my 308 and was pleased to see the 430 finally went to a timing chain.

I also think the 430 is a more "aggressive" Ferrari, if that makes any sense. I currently own two.

430 for me is the easy decision. Probably the most beautiful of all the modern V8 Ferrari’s. And likely the least upkeep cost on it.

Unless you love the shape of the 360 vs 430 ..i can't say why one would choose it over the 430

Chain, better heat exchanger, better f1 system and electronics, better immo etc

I don’t understand why you would ask a question this way because things aren’t “equal” - so your question doesn’t lead to a logical conclusion.

The choice between gated and F1 is a material determining factor.

If you want a gated car the 360 is the practical choice.

If you want an F1 then you have more choices: 360, 430, 458…

The 360 is the practical choice for a modern enough gated car.

He said all things being equal

    360 f1 to 430 f1 or 360 stick to 430 stick

He didn't mention price as criteria ..

For gated I would choose 360.
For F1 I would choose higher mileage early 458 or early F430.

360 for me. Strictly based on aesthetics.

Must be Coupe with stick. 430 or 360 not important. No flippy top or flippy padel.

The problem is all things aren't equal.

If I could have found a 2005 F430 with a manual and 27k miles for <$100k, there is no question I'd have that over my 360. More power, more modern cabin, improved chassis and electronics (e-diff / manettino), nearly 100 more hp, no belts, etc. I like the looks of the F430 better as well, but an "identical" spec F430 would be 2.5-3x more expensive

    Hard to decide.

A few years ago I would have said 430, but these days the allure of the 5 valve head, greater accessibility for the gated transmission, and the way the looks have matured, then it’s a very close call for me.

If money is no object though, then it would be a gated 430 for me.

I think if it was down to a late, gated 360 vs an early F1 430, I’d have the 360.

The f430 is turning out to be one of the best cars Ferrari has ever built. It is not without its issues..but once fixed..the cars are almost bullet proof.

Timing chain, more hp, better looking is why I went 430.
