I watched it last night, absolutely fantastic, especially those GTV6's....wow....I liked his explanation of Porsches and Italian cars in general, couldn't agree more.
I am keen to get get more info on RHD conversions done to the Lancia Delta Intergale. I have always loved the cars but I cant bring myself to drive a left hooker and I am looking to buy one here in NZ.
There was an Octane issue from a few of years ago that extensively covered the Delta Integrale. I can dig it up but what I remember is that they really thrashed RHD conversions. Apparently they are based on standard Delta (non-integrale) hardware and as a result destroy the special Integrale steering feel. I know the ex-president of the U.K. Lancia club and in his view it's the worst thing you can do to an Integrale. Your best bet, though, is to drive both a RHD conversion and an original LHD and decide for yourself.
I have a RHD car converted by the selling dealer when new. It's wonderful. There's certainly nothing wrong with way it steers. I understand there are less than satisfactory conversions however no complaints about mine. Cheers J
Well, as I said, personal experience beats outside advise anytime. Great to hear you are enjoying it!
I have scoured message boards for years on this. I've not seen a definitive answer. I don't have the car here as I put it for sale following the purchase of another car. I suspect it to be from a Delta GT. Best regards, John
I enjoyed watching this Harry's Garage video earlier tonight- covers an Evo II. Touches on the history and development, and gives an enjoyable look at the car from an owner's perspective. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB8D9Ny9wms
