Awesome! We will be sending out an email on Friday no later than Monday with a detailed itenerary of the schedule for the Professional Driving instruction. The gates will open at 9am. The first may start as early as 10:30am depending on our final number of registrants and if we need two classes. Any questions you can email me direct at [email protected]. See you at the track!

    Stephen Burks
    Thanks

I just registered. I'm bringing the F430 (me, just as a spectator).

You must do the DE - it's safe and fun way to get to know your new car. :)

I agree it a great way to get to know your car. It is a great intro event for learning the track. Plenty of instructor classroom and track time. The pace isn't that assertive and the track sessions are controlled and only allow the Performance Drive Group on the track at that time. No over-taking. You also should consider entering your F430 in the Show and Shine. You can do both track participation and show and shine. It is an informal show shine with awards. Pleanty of fun.

I thought I read that any of the driving events required an SCCA license or other motorsport affiliation. There was also some training course required prior. I also do not own a helmet. Otherwise, I would consider it. Am I wrong? I may end up in the Show and Shine if I get there early enough.

You are correct on the open track time it does require track experience. We will have 15 extra helmets at the track office that can be used at no charge if you decide to do the Performance Drive Experience.

I know this is my first post on here, but I registered a while ago and never really followed through with posting anything.

Anyway, I was out at the track day on Saturday with my father and my brother-in-law. My brother-in-law and I drove out there in my dad's SL65, and my dad drove out in his SLR. We were there through an invitation from Dan Pastorini for the debut of the DP7 Racing Gallardo GTR (my dad gave them a very small sponsorship to help them get the team off the ground a few years ago when their original plan was to race a RENNtech SLK in ALMS). My brother-in-law took a ton of pictures of the event, but I've yet to upload any of them to my computer.

maybe if you would have given a little more in the sponsorship, the engine of the GTR wouldnt have blown LOL :)

Once again if you want a specific one just let me know because it does not let you save the pictures. Also, Cody, for some reason the shots inside your F430 didn't turn out that great because of sun spots.

There's also a picture in there of the Gallardo GTR with smoke coming out of it.

I have been remiss in not giving Steve and the rest of the gang a virtual high five for this event. It was almost more fun than the law allows. I really appreciate you letting me bring a chick car.
