Has anyone actually weighed a la Ferrari with all fluids ? Very interested to know actual weights Ideally details like "Mr p smith weighed his car at ..." Nothing vague
Fellow Fchatter Luque reported on another forum (see post # 1558 with a snap of the car): "In term of weight. We received last year a PS vehicle to finalize test on the car (...), weight was 1480 Kg but tank was about filled at 75% so we can calculate a kerb weight around 1500 kg. It was an euro spec." COMPARISON TESTS - Porsche 918 vs McLaren P1 vs LaFerrari - TopGear, EVO etc | Page 78 | GermanCarForum
The owners manual claims a weight of 1480kg with lightweight options. Treynor has weighed his Laferrari and says it weighs less than 1600kg and that he will release the exact figure along with other performance figures when he gets a chance to test it properly. Do you by any chance know Matt from Pistonheads (the guy who owns the Laferrari and grey F12 seen at Vmax)? He said a while back on McLaren Life that his Laferrari was informally tested at Anglesey by Evo and that it was faster than both the 918 and the P1. Unfortunately we've seen or heard nothing since.
Lift system ~30kg, hifi more or less the same? Ferrari claim 1480 for lightest spec so it seems they're quite accurate. definitely an option I'd tick...I'll take the 20-30KG increase in weight every time considering the car would be so much more usable with it. I wouldn't lose any sleep being .2 of a second slower at the track because of it. On long trips or stuck in traffic it's an absolute necessity iMO.
30 KG for a lift system! I was expecting to be lighter. I wonder how much the 911 GT3 lift system weighs?
IMHO a LaFerrari stuck in traffic is like wearing a suit on the beach... At any rate, the V12 provides the aural pleasure.
Did you check with Ferrari 1st if this was ok ? they might come after you for posting this online. What was the other thing ? you can not let anyone from the automotive press drive a La Ferrari or they will ban the current owner from buying any ferrari again and etc ?
No. laFe has superlift system designed by Magneti Marelli Pump, hoses, control unit and actuators = Total weight about 12 kg Luque
None of us really expect it to be light BUT there were plenty of speculations of a dry weight of 1260 KG when the project was in testing stage. Somehow they went from 1260 to 1400 to almost 1600 KG. WTH!
Dry weight could well be within the 1250 bracket given that these cars need some 25 litres of oil, 90 litres of fuel, 10 litres of coolant, brake fluid, air con fluid etc, plus they add a 75 kg driver and 25 kg of luggage into the EU kerb weight.
