Can't wait to finally see some Koenigsegg's arriving North America! Anyone know if this will be at NYIAS in april?
They're good looking, very fast, have a lot of power, and the doors are cool, but for some reason, they don't excite me as much as other supercars...I honestly don't know why.
I hope the composite wheels have a better ability to deal with poor roads than motorcycle composites in the past. Awsome on the track, not sure about the street. Rest of the car looks very impressive. Darrell.
Even when all the materials are high quality and the performance stunning - I don`t like this car! Looks ugly from the side/ front site, has no aura, no image, the engine comes from somewhere else and even the name is ridiculous ("Koenigsegg" a german/english combination of "the Kings`egg"!). I know of many rich collectors of cars in the absolutley top-range - but none of them would ever out their hands on this car! Same with Pagani! All this cars have no names! Ciao! Walter
well, i have friends who are serious car collectors and they have both, oh well.. diff ppl with diff taste,
Graphite Fiber.... what??? What are they... are they lighter and stronger then magnesium wheels or something? First time I've ever heard of them... As for the car... I'm sure its an awesome performer... but the styling does not excite me personally. And I hope that that windshield wiper moves down for the actual car so its not sitting there in the middle of the windshield... having that there would drive me crazy to no end...
woah buddy, first of all personal taste in astetics well its ok i cant fault you for that... but as for the name? its the creator's last name lol. And as for having the engine being sourced from somewhere else, what do you expect, this is a privatly funded business, and its hard to get into. so you need to rely on sourcing your engine from another company. As for Koenigsegg im not sure how "custom" the engine is but for the Pagain I know it is EXTREAMLY customized to them by AMG. Also Pagani would have named the car after Juan Manuel Fangio (basicly he was gona call it the Fangio) but he died so he never was able to ask him permission so out of respect to him he didnt name it the Fangio (he later honored Juan Fangio with the Pagani Zonda F F for Fangio. "Juan Manuel Fangio was much more than a great champion. His accuracy, his uprightness, and his human and technical sensibility were among his qualities, typical of the old-time men, they have been for me, an example and an inspiration source. Very often, I ask myself how something so material, like a drawing or a technical choice, can express and convey the philosophy of such a men. The name of el coche, the way he used to call the car, should have been Fangio F1. He followed the project with a strong enthusiasm, according to his ideas the F1 had to be innovative, safe and had to be powered by a Mercedes-Benz engine. He then passed away and as a sign of respect I did not dare to call the car Fangio F1 and I decided to name it Zonda, el viento de los Andes. Today, after years spent in a rigorous search for perfection, the result is the Zonda F, a car that I wish to dedicate to Juan Manuel Fangio, the man who has made everything different."-pagani press release. So while they dont have the pinash of a Ferrari or Lamborghini or the heritage, they are cars built by people who love the automobile. They are the sucuessors to Enzo Ferrari and Furrucho Lamborghini! my $.2 feel free to rant/ bash/ agree
why has the 911 gone virtually unchanged since the 1960's? they got it right the first time would be my guess
Don't judge this car until you've seen/heard it in person. It's a work of art. Just dont buy it without a pit crew to follow you around to fix it.
I had the good fortune of seeing and following one of these cars in New Orleans. When you see one in motion on city streets you see asphalt being to boil! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pagani has sold quite a few of their zondas, and many magazines rates the zonda above every other ferrari and lambo sold today. Just something to think about. By the way, i thought "koenigsegg" is meant to mean "knife's edge" or something in swedish, i may be wrong, not sure.
Car looks fantastic in person. I attended the Geneva show. In talking with the young lady in the booth, there are possibly more dealers than just Exotic Cars of Caesar's Palace. She wouldn't tell me where (understandably so), but said an announcement would be around May about other dealers, and that the car should be on the shores by September. That is, if all goes as planned. Again, it was a fantastic looking car in person. I love it.
