Looks great! You will love it! Yours being a Scud with 100 cell cats, I am thinking it will be very loud. I highly recommend the Kline Valve controller button so that your neighbors wont hate you Looking forward to seeing your install, your review and short videos. Dan
Ken, Thank you very much for weighing the parts. Based on the figures I assume you have the inconel version? X pipe: 9.4 lbs / 4.26 kg Silencer: 10.4 lbs / 4.71 kg Total: 19.8 lbs / 8.97 kg I also assume the cats are stainless because I don't see that HJS make the cores in Inconel - is that correct? Cats: 5 lbs / 2.26 kg Regards, Mark
But unless you went for HJS 100 Cells its simply not going to sound great I can tell you from experience, in fact I really am not sure why people are so afraid of going 100 cells with O2 mini cats. I have Kline 100 cell cats with OEM SCUD exhaust set up and whilst not as good as with the X pipe its still awesome, plenty of people have done so with a Speciale too
Oem except this little bit of reengineering https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/listen-up-re-engineered-scud-exhaust.390101/
Notwithstanding any of this go and buy yourself a Porsche Boxster or Cayman 981 GTS 6 cylinder and leave it all stock, except taking out the sound insulation behind the rear cabin wall carpet where the non electric sound symposer comes in from the engine bay
good one but even I would even say 100 cell cats are a good all round compromise for the environment and the engine
Anyone curious about dyno numbers? Perhaps I can dyno my car (Capristo headers + oem cats + oem muffler) before the install. Anyone willing to dyno the car for free?
Yes, it would be great to know any hp gains after Kline exhaust installation. Kindly share your experience. Thanks! Dan
don't hold your breath, remember OEM is a straight through pipe with the valve open so max +25 hp if you are lucky.... this is about Sound not HP
Headers, hi-flow cats, x pipe and tune might net 25hp. X pipe added on its own wont do much. But yes, worth it for the sound. Been trying to dream up how to add an x-pipe to the stock system... Effectively what the Kline is.
If the combo did net 25 hp, I would say that is impressive and satisfactory. It would bring the hp numbers that much closer to Speciale numbers with reduced weight . I would say all in all, you are paying for sound, weight reduction, reduced engine bay heat (less damaged carbon and seals), response, hopefully some hp gains, and OEM parts preservation.
I have not forgotten. It has been crazy trying to organize an install with the holidays. This should be going on soon!
Dan, did you ever get the Inconel button and clamps? My Kline exhaust arrived this week, but because of recent ankle surgery I haven't been able to hobble down to the garage and open the box to inspect everything. It's killing me knowing it's down there!
Hi Kevin, Yes, I received the Inconel valve controller kit and additional support clamps from Felix. Congrats on receiving your Kline exhaust. You will love the sound. Sorry to hear about your recent ankle surgery Get well soon bud. Dan
Yes, but its not the best...... I have made notes and important infos and will share here soon to benefit you and others. Dan
Here you go for sharing - Kline Innovation Exhaust Inconel Valve Controller Kit for F430 detailed installation instructions. Hope this helps some of you. Dan
