The dealer just got off the phone and said Honda slipped them a early bonus shipment because they are the biggest Goldwing dealer in the USA.
My bike is in that shipment.
Red DCT without the back bag.

Honda Goldwing is tried and true. Change the oil when you're supposed to and it'll last forever! Congrats.
    Love the color BTW.....

Rode it 400 miles yesterday from Little Rock to DFW.
Half at night and some rain too.
The bike is incredibly smooth. Handling amazing for a cruiser. I'll never drive another Harley.
Switchgear is confusing and hard to operate with gloves. Like a last generation BMW 7 series; lots of stuff to learn and not intuitive. The good news is that Honda packs in a lot of stuff to learn VS Harley's crank it and go simplicity IE no features.
About 40 mpg on regular 5 gallon tank.
Lots of plastic but I guess everything is today.
Took me about 200 miles to really "get it".
At 25 grand retail (mine is the non-bagger DCT) a great value.
A big sport bike with luxury built in. Exactly what I was looking for.
If you are looking for an all out Luxo-cruiser (Barcalounger on wheels) the last gen is probably better.

So with no clutch for you to operate, does the left handlebar lever have any functionality if there is still one there? Are gears still selected via left foot? Is there an auto mode?

    Nice Choice!

It's my next bike...after my M/V Agusta went back to the mfgr under lemon law :( I'm looking for fun, reliable, and did I mention fun?

I hear the 4 valve head really wakes this bike up in Sport Mode.

    First off sorry for the late responses;

Its "OK" Going to have to get used to it.
It was a toss up between DCT and manual but just decided to go "new".

    No left handle lever.
Surprisingly it didn't take long to get used to.
I still have the Harley and can go from one to the other seamlessly without having to put thought in.
No foot operation but a switch on right handlebar. IIRC there is a foot operation option. I felt it unnecessary.
Yes auto mode is available and I used it exclusively until used to the manual "shift".
