Last sunday I drove away my 360.
When I first started the car, the fuel gauge showed there was about 1/4 fuel left.
After about 20 miles I parked the car. Half a hour later I started the car again and the fuel gauge showed an empty tank and the fuel light was on.

I filled up the tank, complete, but the gauge still shows: empty tank.
I drove about 80 miles and it still shows: empty tank.

Does somebody knows what is wrong? A problem with the sender unit or could it be something else?

    Thanks in advance!

Sender unit most likely cause, arm is jammed or stuck. Less likely but still possible is the gauge cluster or wiring like ground or loom. Can't tell over the internet..

You could try taking engine panel off and reinserting the connector on the drivers side tank.. maybe test resistance on pins 1 and 2 of the connector.

I agree, most likely fuel leve sensor is stuck or going bad.

Here you go from the workshop manual. Please see attached.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks guys, I will start with checking the resistance and check the connectors.

If you need to service the driver side pump (with fuel sending unit), you will need a custom or large wrench to twist the plastic nut. Be careful when removing the pump. Installing the pump needs to be orientated correctly so the arm does not grind against inside of tank. It is best if you do not have a full tank of fuel.

This happens on my 456 periodically, it soon corrects itself, I just blame it on age.

Happens on my 430. Fill up and it can take quite a few miles to register that it is now full. Sometimes it registers immediately.
Don't worry about it, Ferrari electrics.
