I'll take the set - please confirm. I would like the stock silver just as you are having them made dimensionally for you.

SO if i read all of this right i am going to mount 225/35 front and 285/35 rear on my 99 and reuse the center caps and lugs and it should be good to go?

I'm in. Sent you PM also. I am in L.A. area also (Orange County), can i just pick the wheels up??

I just sent funds via paypal to you. Looking forward to mounting the wheels at months end. Nice job on this project. One questions. if we hit a big pothole or object and ruin a wheel are there going to be any replacements. I know its a longshot but it's something to consider...........

I received your payment. Thank you.

Great question. They way they are built they will be very solid.

I think I will be able to get replacements.

Just to set expectation. Months end is production completion. Shipping will be after that.

That's the silver I selected also. Look ok is amazing! I'm going to be running Michelin 225/35 up front with the 8" wheel and 285/35 with stick size but 9mm offset same as Olivers.

I can't wait to see my car with proper wheels. I'm jealous of all you west coast folks who'll get them early. I suppose now would be a good time to pick up some titanium lug nuts.

I did not expect this but I just had a low ball offer accepted on genuine 18 inch challenge wheels which is what I've really wanted. Can you please cancel my order and issue refund. Your project is awesome but I did not think the 18 inch deal would go through as there was no response for days and I also can repurpose my brand new tires. Please cancel and refund. I have a few other 360 owners that I'll pass your link onto as well. Please confirm. Looking forward to seeing pics of what you all end up with. Thanks again. I also sent pm and text

Oliver - thanks for the prompt resend of the cash. I'm definitely interested in the titanium lugs when complete. You are definitely a stand up guy doing something pretty cool here for all of us. Thanks again!!

    Guys,

Based on the design of the Challenge wheel it is not possible to make it in these sizes without incurring a 3 pound weight penalty. I have paid two different wheel designers to come up with solutions. I did not like the weights of any of them. In my opening post you can see my thoughts on weight VS traction. There was a clear winner for the front wheel to be 8" instead of 7.5".

BBS also must have realized this when they came up with the F1 design. That is a design I can get behind and would love to have in my personal wheel collection.

Those of you willing to commit to buying a wheel like that please PM me with your phone number and email address so that I can gauge if there is sufficient commitment to design that wheel. To be clear, I need deposits to make this wheel.

Thank you all for being as excited about wheels for our cars as I am.

    Oliver

Great job on pushing this through. Wish I would have seen this before I ordered other "necessary" stuff! Currently, I've got the 430 Challenge centerlocks on my car. For various reasons, I am considering changing them out to "standard" type mounts. One of the issues I had with the centerlocks is their light weight. Great for racing but no so much on the street. Hit a pothole and ended up bending both front rims. Has there been any testing on the durability of these? Granted, potholes will destroy wheels and tires, but this one wasn't that bad.

Be a little careful. I have 235's (Michelin Super Sports) and I get some minor rubbing. It's very minor but it's there. Interestingly, I had Bridgestone 235's before and they did not rub. Could be the Super Sports.
