Who can make it out for another drive on the 29th? Several people have asked for a route that will take us through the 2nd drive from the April meet. We had planned on going through it again last month, but it took alittle too long to make our way through the Indiana side. Also, everyone seems to enjoy lunch, but some of the guys have asked for more time to socialize and/or have some type of activity that the significant others might enjoy. We can plan on leaving from the Summitt again, but where should we go/do? Matt
how bout the entire loop? we only did like half of it last time and it was great!! more time to socialize, pshhhh, get there earier if ya wanna talk, I wanna drive!!!! and that dang 355, Diablo, and CGT better show this time or Im gonna have to start puttin boots in arses
argh!!! dont go for the ol' slow drive thats only like 25 miles!! come down for the fast twisty one that will last hours
That's OK, I got my fix (temporarily, at least) Saturday on SR135 on the way down to and back from Freetown. That would make quite the road course if you could keep the horse trailers and minivans off of it.
son of a beotch! you have the wrong kinda luck there buddy Im never gonna see you Diablo or the CGT good luck getting it back up again, maybe it'll last a month this time
My Diablo is running strong and has more power than ever since I tuned her.....but the main drive shaft is a common item after a while to break. I guess from all the torque and twisting...it was bound to break... A friend of mine who has a similiar one just broke also. Replacing it no big deal. I am taking my time to find a stronger one. Also while the engine is out, I am going to do the clutch in kevlar and replace all seals...plus powdercoat...As far as my luck goes....it has nothing to do with the drive shaft breaking...when I do have her back together it will be a much better car and the "maybe it will last a month" statement won't exist....plus it was a pretty stupid statement. This was the first major issue I have had...and I also expected it.
I was joking man, since you havent been able to make the past meets with problems The kevlar clutch is a great idea though! Get it all done while the engines out and come run it hard someday
As it stands now I'm in and 2 others...might add more Ferrari F355 spider Porsche 911 C4 Porsche 930 *we must run the downtown via-ducts at waterfront as a fly-by. In fact, it would make for an incredible video clip. Matt - let me know when your out in the Lotus so we can meet up in the meantime and I'll get w/ you tomorrow on other matters.
This is really late notice, but can anyone make it out after work this Thursday to talk about a route. Maybe Stoney River again? Let know if anyone can make it. Matt
is that the begining part from last time after lunch ...along the river ....where I had my "close call" passing everyone??? that was a great stretch....just need to pass all the slow folk sooner
Joey, Adam, Stephen? I think that part of a car club is some socials as well. I am good to go now, Talked to the wife and nothing is scheduled. Dan, however, is a little too far away for a social.
Back to the first post, other activities. Is there a karting center that would be a good place to drive to, race karts, eat, drive back?
I looked them up, the seem kind of like kiddie cars with the bodies, wings, etc... Have you been there? Are they fast? I was thinking more of a racing venue like: www.trackattack.com
