Well, in terms of the price, if you are under the age of 40, you are considered as "junior" and monthly dues are significantly lower than the full-members. You get full benefit of the membership.

Do you have to be referred, or can you just apply? How long is the wait for membership these days?

One of the members has to be your main sponsor, and you need additional 5 co-sponsors. The time frame for the process varies. It is not an easy process... I've been working on it for about an year so far.

i used to be members of the club, I cancelled membership because i moved out of state and didn't want to keep paying monthly fee's. It was nice, I've thought about it again but live in Newport so I would like to be local. It is nice.

Looks to be a social/country club style place. Only been there once with my friend for a quick workout and lunch at the beach location, but it seems nice to have at your disposal.

Seems like a very exclusive place judging by the application process. Is it merely a social club or is there more to it? Not trying to pry into your business or anything, just wondering what makes it worthwhile. I'm just a simpleton.

It's a social club with its own restaurants, sports club, etc. They have two locations, one in Downtown L.A. and one in Santa Monica (it's beach house).

It's an organization with number of great people. I have a couple of friends who are members (who are currently my sponsors), and through them, I met so many great Jonathan Club members. It's like F-Chat, where there are number of active community people.

It does have quite a selective process for new members, and people can't even get an application, unless current member gets one for them. Also questionaire include, "Have you visited the applicant's house?", "How long have you known him/her?", etc.

Another similar club would be the California Club in Downtown L.A. They are somewhat different, in terms of atmosphere and membership.

The valet broke my Porsche's Rt. Headlight. I was staying their for the weekend. They not only fix the light but they replaced both headlamps. They felt one old lamp with one new looked terrible.

really? We've had some difficulty flatbedding some of the Johnathan's cars in for service due to the parking in front...........but its a great club and is very elitist. Reminds me of a frat

I loved the club, haven't been going as much lately. My relatives go under our name alot... I got lucky because my parents were members back in the early 80's when the fee's were nothing to now.
